Once you have a bid on an item, you are basically in a contract with that person. If you wanted a minimum amount for your item, then you should have put a reserve price on it (option that you can choose when you list the item). That way, you have the option of not selling the item if you don't get the price that you want...but since you already have a bid, that option is no longer available to you. I know that if I REALLY want something, I'll wait until there is less than 20 seconds left in the auction and then bid. Normally, (about 95% of the time), I will win the auction. |
I never bid right away, I always wait until the end, I have a auction sniper service acutally bid for me and my bid is placed 5 sec before the auction ends. I have only lost 2x because my max bid price was too low. |
When you are setting up your item for sale. There is a part about neg feedback for buyers .check it out next time you sell on ebay. Once an item has a bid you cant change it.You cant cancel if its under 12hrs.I find the best time to end your sell is on the Weekend.Good Luck |
There are different reasons. The first is because you do not have feedback. People normally will not bid high or bid readily with a seller that does not have any feedback. I buy Mets tickets off ebay and I know personally for me I am hesitant to bid high on tickets that are being sold by someone with none or limited feedback. The second, reason is that on Ebay there is a lot of competition so buyers are always looking for a bargain. You may have priced it higher then Ebay average. Lastly, it could also be that with no bids those four watchers are waiting until the end to bid so not to run the auction up. Anyway, hope it sells for you. Elaine |
Wow thank you for your input ...you guys have a lot of experience when it comes to ebay ... I will keep on watching and see what happens in the last second ...that would be fun ...Now I have another question...I have an authentic LV pochette that I bought myself from the US and I know on ebay there are a lot of fakes so is it a good idea to sell it on ebay or I should sell it somewhere else ??? |

I'd list it on ebay...I would also include authentic in the auction title and let people know you purchased it yourself in the auction description. I don't own any LV, but does it come with paperwork or some way to tell it's authentic? If so...I'd include that in the auction too. Good luck!! Actually I am real curious to know what your first one ends at...:p |

Mine has instructions on how to take care of the bag, and adust cover . Now for authenticity inside the bag there is a serial number . If you already saw and examined one real LV then you are able to tell the difference when you see a fake one . I will let you know how my auction ends:D |
