total shocker!!!!!! ok...so I'm bad. this is really bad. but....i'm not the only one that is shocked!!!! my dtr is in competitive gymnastics...and her coach is a guy. He is totally feminine. the way he walks, talks, acts....everyone that see's him would bet the farm that he is gay. to each his own...i really don't care...in fact, I adore the guy. he is a GREAT coach...and he is WONDERFUL with kids...and he is just a lot of fun to be around. an overall great guy. well, today, at a birthday party for one of the girls on the team, the mom's were talking about the fact that the coach was getting married soon. I wasn't totally surprised cuz he wears what looks like a wedding band on his wedding finger. BUT...I WAS surprised to know that he was marrying a GIRL. one of the mom's actually does his hair (yes...he get's highlights, low lights, all sorts of colors and styles) and he had talked to her about it. I am SOOOOOO happy for him...but I am surprised. Is that wrong of me?? I mean...I actually liked the fact that he was gay LOL well...that we thought he was. he was/is a ton of fun!!!!!! anyway...i know i am horrible for being shocked...but trust me...there are about 8 other mom's that I know of that are equally as shocked LOL |
well, I've heard plenty of stories of gay men married to woman...possibility:confused: Or maybe he's just really metro/feminine |

I had a best friend in high school that dated girls freshmen & sophomore year then told us he was gay, of course we all kind of knew. He was such a hoot to be around. I loved his personality and I was so relieved for him to be who he really was deep down. He was so much fun to go shopping with too! I can see why you are bummed. HeHe |

Well...I have 2 friends who appear to be very gay because their actions and speech are quite effeminate. But they are very straight, both are married and have kids. They know how they appear to others, but have no inclination to change their posture so...OK, whatever. They are wonderful guys and their families are wonderful too. I also have several men friends who are gay. Some you would never know - they appear straight, no affectations. And others have alot of feminine characteristics. I work with them in theatre productions and so I've gotten used to being around them. I'm not sure why they put on such affects, but they are great people and would and have done wonderful helpful things for me. I love them and they are dear friends.:) I do not agree with their lifestyle and they know it, so they don't push it at me, and I am not going to shun them because of it. Life has lots of twists and curves and you never know what's gonna be around the bend. |
This is so funny that you posted this because I had a very similar situation this week!!!! My son's principal is AWESOME!!!!! All the mom's love him!!! He too seems very feminine!!!!! Well, this week we all heard the news that he too is getting married ......to a woman! We are all shocked!!!!!!!!! We all just assumed he was gay but I guess we were wrong!!! Personally, it does not matter to me whether he is gay or straight.....he is a great principal and the kids and parents love him!!! So our stories are very similar!!!! Who knew????? |
I know what you mean. The groomer i take morgan too is the same way. I could have sworn he was gay from his mannerisms and the way he talks. But then i talked to a friend who has been taking her dogs to him longer and she says he's married to a woman who is frequently at the shop. i was like "what?? really???" i'm with you, to each his own. i have friends that are gay, some you can tell, some you can't. i love them all either way. But sometimes i wonder, when you meet a guy you can swear up and down is gay, but turns out he isn't you have to wonder if they are hiding it, or just don't know yet. kinda like a "will and grace" thing. will didn't acknowledge he was gay until jack pointed it out. |

I just don't have good gaydar. I have been shocked finding out two straight guys are gay....according to my friend who dated them, one she is still with and they just had a baby. She STILL says she knows he he gay....into the man across the street. My thing is what is wrong with HER if she thinks that. I mean this girl looks like a Itilian barbie doll. Angie |
It's OK to be shocked!! I used to have a friend who everyone thought was gay, he acted like how some gay guys act when they act like girls, talked like one, always hung out with girls, the whole works. Never really hitted on any girls even though all the other guys were constantly trying to find a new girl to hit on, just everything about him said he was gay. All of his friends would talk about it, just how he hasn't came out yet, and if he does come out we'll still love him no matter what, we wouldn't care if he was gay, we just wanted him to come out because denying it was what was really bothering us. So anyways, one day we did a little test on him, he thinks it was a joke but it was kind of a proof for us..and to make a long story short this kinda proved he was gay! He still has not come out of the closet, I guess that's just how he's going to be, as long as he is happy though thats what matters. |
