We are getting pounded with rain today. A tornado really tore up part of downtown Atlanta earlier. I live about 65 miles northwest of Atlanta. We have had two severe thunder storms pass through and more are ont he way. Here are a few pics of our riding arena and pasture :)

OMG! I didn't know anything about this. My daughter and grandkids are in Snellville! eek!!!!! I'm going to call her to make sure they're OK. Glad you're alright!

Holy cow! Thats alot of rain. My sister and her two girls were supposed to go visit my nephew and great nephew in Washington, GA this wknd and they were going to a race up near Atlanta. Mom is worried about them.

wow it looks like you got lots of rain!!
we got rain, mixed with a little slushy ice, and snow! It's not really icing up on the ground though!
It was 70 a few days ago!!

I just now heard of the tornadoes in Atlanta.

Your weather really looks so miserable. Hope spring comes to you soon.
It has been raining here for the past 24 hrs. but we never get the severe weather you guys do. Take care.

Poor Chattiesmom, you have really been through it the last few months. I hope things start to turn around for you soon. I have been watching the tornado damage on television. It is so sad! I hope you and your loved ones are all OK. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I just read on the internet about the Tornado in Atlanta. :eek: Wow, you can really see in those pictures that you are getting a lot of rain. :rain: Cindy, you and your family stay safe and I hope you have a nice sunny day tomorrow to dry things out for you's. :sun:

our tornado watches and warnings are out now..they have watches here, and warnings about 45 minutes from me..this is very unusual for us..

Stay safe Cindy. We went through some bad weather last week with a tornado touching down briefly within 5 miles of our home. It was a very wicked rainstorm with lightning strikes all over but we personally did not suffer any damage.

Hope your weather clears up............wish I could send you some of our sunshine!

I was just reading about yesterday's 130 mph of wind that tore up parts of Atlanta, and now today with a tornado that killed two people. I will pray you don't get tornado's on top of all that rain. They are expecting more very bad weather with baseball size hail. I'm so sorry your going thru this and I know it has to be bad on the nerves. Do you have a storm shelter?

wow..that is a lot of rain. we got consistent rain here today but it is supposed to be nice tomorrow. then rain again on monday :( oye....i am SOOOO glad that it seems spring has "sprung" cuz it has been pretty warm...but I really don't like rain. this is why I am more of a summer girl :D plus..I need to give the pooches baths and I don't want to when it is rainy and muddy out :(

We are getting pounded by it now. There is a tornado warning, meaning one has been spotted in the NW part of our county, about 15 miles from here. Its lightning pretty bad and Slade didn't want to come inside when I took him out to pee :rolleyes: He's safe inside now though!

I sent you a pm. I was at a bday party and when i got home i talked to Aerrica and she told me about the weather you all got in GA. and i'm sorry i didn't check on you sooner than now. I came home and took a nap after i spoke with Aerrica. I'm glad you all are alright! that was really scary stuff.

Guess you're getting what my family got in MS last night. My mother said the lightning was fierce. They have been so dry for the last 2 or 3 yrs. and now they are drowning.:eek: Someone asked if you have a storm shelter. That is a real problem for my family. No basement/no re-enforced closet.:eek: Water level to high. Sometimes when they drive through the fields with their tractors, water will squish up through crawdad holes.:eek: Guess I'll stay living in good ol' KS where we at least can have basements.

Cindy has a basement..she's a couple hours from me, and our rain has stopped(we always get the weather here that they get)...actually supposed to be nice out today(sunny), we've been in a bad drought for a couple years. Atlanta area was worried a few mos. back they were going to be without water(they were wanting to pipe some of ours from our lake even to Atlanta)..that never happened...We need rain, just not all at one time like we got in the last couple days.

Hello everyone! Welcome to sunny Georgia! The weather is beautiful today, the rain washed the sky clean and it is the bluest blue I have seen in a long while.

Please pray for the people living in the Wax Community about 5 miles from me. A tornado ripped up the community, leveling about 20 homes, injuring several people, and killing one. My son worked the Sheriff's Possee door to door rescue and he said it looked like a bull dozer leveled the entire area.
