I am in no way saying that this is the same thing, but Lori I do understand your situation. I am tending to think that perhaps I might want to spend time with them while they are still at home and therefor able to spend more time to visit. I am so sorry Lori and my thoughts are with you. |
Lori, I am so sorry the news is bad. Perhaps as Janie is thinking of doing... you should go sooner rather than later, so that you get to spend quality time with her. Sending you my prayers and hugs. Sheilagh |
I Just started a Tread in OT asking for medical term help ... If you know answers lease help me with them.. I also talked to my mom .. She wants me to hold off till we Know more... Huggs comming you way Lori!!!  |
Lori, I'm so sorry to hear this news. :( Go be with your grandmother if you can manage it. Spend some time with her while she can still enjoy you. |
I'm so sorry for news you didn't want to receive. As I'm dealing with a similar situation with my mom right now.... I asked my daughters if they wanted to come home from college a couple of weeks ago - just in case. They did because they wanted to make sure that they got a visit in with their grandma. Depending on how long she lasts (unfortunately, theres no telling), they will hopefully get additional visits. But the girls said that they needed that visit ... just in case. As you get more medical information, you'll be able to make better decisions and plans. My heart really does go out to you....... |
Lori, Once again, I am so sorry that I missed this Hon, but I was happy this morning to see that you had received my PM. We are all here for you, just like you have been there for so many of us in a time of need. I will pray for your Grandma, and for you to give you the strength to handle this. Like I said, last night, I cannot think of a more loving and kind person such as yourself, that could give comfort to her. Please keep us updated. Big hugs for you for the day,:ghug: Lauren |
I am soo sorry Lori, sending hugs and lots of prayers ! |
That link just made me ball my eyes out.... I took care of both of my parents when they were sick, and although it was the hardest time of my life, it was also the most rewarding. I lost them 14 months apart but I felt like I did everything I could to make their last years enjoyable and I will always be thankful that I was able to do that. My prayers are with you and your family. The best thing you can do for your grandma is be there -either in person or on the phone. |
I'm so very sorry. Go be with her if you can. My prayers are with you and your family. Many hugs! |
Just checking in to see if there is an update on your Gran. Lori, I am sure she would want to be with you Hon. I do know that the first reaction upon diagnosis is fear; it is a time when you really need to be with loved ones for reassurance and comfort. My heart just breaks for you. I know only too well what it feels like when someone you love is ill. Hope you had a better day today, Lauren:) |
I am so very sorry....sending you hugs, thoughts and prayers. |
I have thought of you so much, Lori. I hope you decide to go see your grandma soon. Hopefully she will live many more years, but you just never know. My Mom got diagnosed with cancer a little over a year ago and 2 weeks later she was gone. None of us thought it would happen so quickly and my younger sister didn't get here until after Mom died. She kept asking and Mom wanted her to wait a couple of weeks. I should have told her to come sooner. I feel so bad this is happening in your family and am praying for a good outcome! *HUG* |
