Waiting for Dooms Day!!! For the last couple of months on YT I have read all about the Yter's who have been horribly sick with the flu...I have listened to all of my friends and family say how they have been sick with the flu and I have listened to all of the news reports on how widespread the flu is and my hubby kids and I still have not gotten it......not even a cold has entered our house this winter...and instead of praising the lord that we have not even had the sniffles this winter I sit here waiting for it to hit....you know I think its worse waiting for it to come (cause surely it has to when there is so much of it out there) than to actually get it.....its even to the point that I hate to plan anything for the following week because I think one of us is going to get sick....am i crazy? I just don't understand why no one in my house has not even had a cold...surely sometime soon we are going to get slammed...don't you think???:confused: |

i havent gotten it eather and i babysit for kids that were and are sick. (they still come here when they are sick) i didnt even get my flu shot this year lol |
I havent gotten it and neither has my Daughter. My Husband had it for a couple of days |
my mom had it this past weekend and now i have a sore throat. was coughing all day yesterday. no fever yet tho. mild headaches and some nausea. going to the doctor today hopefully to get some ABs to knock the flu out before it really hits. |
everytime someone sneezes in this house I think "here we go" but nope, it was just a sneeze....I wish I could stop thinking about it....Last night befor bed I had a little sore throat and a dripping nose so I thought I was finally getting something so I picked up the house real good and did things I normally don't do befor bed just in case I was sick today....but I feel fine. I really do hope we make it through but come on...not even a cold this winter when normally we all get a cold like twice a winter.....and two years ago we all have the flu....I wish I could get over the feeling of impending DOOM |
Well Praise the Lord. Several of us in the family got the stomach flu...3 ended up in the hospital...but 3 of them didn't get it and they were around all of us:confused: And we all had the flu shots. Maybe y'all are just some of the lucky ones. |
I have not gotten it yet either! Lots of co-workers and friends around me have been sick with it, but I am just lucky! I wouldn't sit around worrying about it... if you get it you get it... but in the meantime just keep doing what your doing cuz its working! :) |
We are a family that gets enough sleep...I make my kids go to bed at 8 on school night..my daughter will be 14 on Easter and my son is 12.....we go to bed around 9 and we, the adults, get up at 5 and my kids get up around 5:45 and we get enough sleep on weekends....I really think that might be why we aren't sick...its all about the sleep... pss...none of us got the flu shot |
Went shopping this afternoon and its the 2nd time I have been out since having back surgery. I sure don't need flu or virus. I started to pay for something that was not marked and the checker called someone up to check the price. This person was hacking and coughing and the checker told her she sounded really sick. She said she was and I thought, Oh, my gosh I'm going to pay for this little shopping spree. Then I thought, you know Lord you have watched over me and protected me thus far and I'm just having faith I won't get sick. Hope you don't either. |
