TX and LA YTers question please..
 
Do any of you go to the Trade Days in Winnie, TX? My SIL and I sell rings and we went to Winnie last weekend. There were tons of vendors with great stuff! We will definately go back every month, so I thought if any of you are ever there, maybe we could get together:cool: Betsi

Yes, I would like to know, too! It sounds fun. I hope it's not too far. Is it only on certain weekends like Canton does it, or is it every weekend?

I just went through winnie on over the weekend and had no idea they had a trade days! We did pass a big flea market but we had the dogs with us and wasn't sure if they were welcome. Sounds like fun!

Check out their site www.larrysoldtimetradedays.com There are dates and directions listed. There is a sign outside that says No Dogs, but we saw several small dogs, some in strollers and some on a leash. I just kept wondering if any of the people walking past our booth were from YT! I know, this site makes ya crazy :p

Thanks! Are there a lot of vendors there? There aren't many listed on the website.

There are alot of vendors! Some of the places are permanent and sell great antiques. I didn't have much time to shop, but it seemed like everything I saw was really good stuff. There were tons of gorgeous plants!! Of course it's not near as big as Canton, but definately worth the trip. Alot of people from Houston and Beaumont come there every month. Their website is very basic, mostly just good for dates and directions. I hope you can come. I'd love to meet you in person!! Betsi

We take the RV to Galveston about 2 times a year, so we do go through Winnie. I didn't know there were trade days though. We'll have to try to schedule during that time. I'm from West Central LA. We do go to Bonnie & Clyde trade days sometimes; it a little south of Shreveport. What's the name of your booth if we can make it sometime?

We are COUNTRY GIRLS! We're in the process of getting a permanent spot (kinda complicated) but until then we will either be in Pavillion 1 or 2. We go to Crystal Beach several times during the summer and stay in the RV at Rollover Pass so our hubbies can fish:rolleyes: Let me know when you're coming and I'll tell you exactly where we'll be. My husband and I did Canton Trade Days and Winnie Trade Days for 5 years straight without missing a single show. We also did Nacogdoches Trade Days and Bonnie and Clyde Trade Days (LA) some of the time We stopped going after we opened up a little shop in Warren, TX. At the time we were doing the trade shows we took our travel trailer and 7 yorkies with us. I always enjoyed it but it was a lot of work. We put up two 10' x 30' canopies and we had all kind of glassware and collectibles to sell. Now, I just go to shop at the trade days a couple times a year and to see some of my old friends. You meet a lot of wonderful people there. I will try to look you up sometime. Good luck selling your rings.
