How do you spend your day when you're sick?
 
I never get sick. I've gone years and years without using a sick day, but today I'm home with a 102 fever, the chills and a headache.

I remember loving to stay home from school, watching TV and drinking 7-Up. But today I'm just bored. And I slept so much last night that I can't even go to sleep. Ugh.

Any tips on how to pass the time?

I'm boring when I'm sick, lol. I watch tv, play on the laptop, read, and drink ginger-ale :)

Sounds like the flu found you. Good way to pass the time....stay on YT.

I spend the day calling Brian and whining! He spends most of his day running home and tending to me! LOL Bring me this and that and more of this! LOL I'm awful when I'm sick! I get pretty needy!

Ha ha. That's the only thing I've been doing with any satisfaction!

I must have played hookie a lot in grammar school, because I remember loving the daytime television lineup.

HAHAHAHA!! Daytime TV is kinda boring...If I do watch it, I watch HGTV, Food Network and Travel channel. I can't do the soaps.

Ohhhhhh, infomercials!!! Nothing like an hour of info on stuff you "cant live without, but never knew you needed!" I get Sooooooooo sucked into those!!!

Just 2 weeks ago I was down with a very bad flu and my hubby took 3 days to be at my beck and call . . .and my furbabies just hanged out with me . . .watching movies all day long . . . It was awful being sick knowing there are tons of orders to fill but I sure enjoyed my furbabies company in bed . . .it was a rude awakening for them when I finally got strong enough to go back to work . . .

Daytime TV for me is; Regis & Kelly, Ellen, The View, What Not to Wear, Ten Years Younger and A Baby Story!!!!!!!!!

I just had the Flu with fevers for 5 days. I can tell you what not to do. I was so sick I layed around, didn't cough and deep breathe and ended up with PNEUMONIA!! I am a nurse and teach and preach it every day!! So keep active if you can. That's an order from Nurse Tinker! Feel better soon. Bella sends puppy kisses!!

Sorry your sick!! I do crossword puzzles and watch reruns of Andy Griffith and sometimes CNN of Fox have some breaking news stories.

LOL, forgot about those! The funny thing is, I started channel surfing and ran into the Beverly Hillbillies and the Big Valley. Some things never change.

Thanks for the sympathy, you guys. My wife got it first and it lasted three days. This is day 2 for me.

So sorry you aren't feeling well:( Can't help ya on things to do during the day when home sick - I don't stay home! I'm manager of a physician clinic and when I've been sick, tried going in just to open office, make sure all staff show up to work, with intentions of coming home and going to bed - NEVER works as usually a couple will call in sick which leaves me short-staffed so I have to stay and help cover:rolleyes: With the exception of taking time off for the untimely death of my sister in January, I've not missed a day since summer when I was at baseball tournament with my son. I keep telling myself one day, I'll get a day off to just relax and do nothing since I can't get one off when I'm sick!

Hope you feel better soon!! I'm sure lots of kisses and love from Eddie and Jack will do the trick nicely:)

Unfortunately i had to go on with my day as usual with two busy kids to tend to and hubby was sick too. Hubby spent the day in bed... men are such babies LOLOL (sorry, i should say MY MAN is!) I'm sure that you are not:p :p

Yes, I'm a baby too. I don't get sick often, but when I do I'm pretty whiny.

And Paulapoo, the boys already dragged me out on one walk today. They think Dad being home is a vacation day.

Hope your feeling better soon. :getwell: FYI, at least here in my area of Pa, Bonanza is on several times during the afternoon on Saturdays. I hope your feeling better by then. I do remember ALL those shows you mentioned. You could watch Animal Planet.

That sounds right. I spend sick days playing ball with Simon and catering to Hallie's every need wishing I had help :)

Feel better, Mike!! I usually just, do not pass go, go straight to bed!! Toto snuggles in too ... my ever present comforter! We turn on the TV ... doesn't really matter what's on, usually Animal Planet [Toto likes it]. Patrick hovers, offering cold clothes for the forehead, soup for the tummy and asperin for the fever. After a few days of this, I am feeling much better and don't whine so much. :p Fortunately, like you, I'm seldom ever sick ... hope you are better soon! ;)

Sorry you are sick. I just got over the same thing. I was so sick that I just slept for 4 days straight. On the 5th day I started feeling better, and a bit bored. I watched TV, took a nap with my babies, worked on my taxes and hung out at YT!

Thanks, everybody. The sympathy is working wonders. Well, either that or the hot toddies ;)

And lovmyyorkie, my wife would LOVE to have a girl Yorkie. It just hasn't worked out that way. I'd get one now, but we can't travel with three on airplines, and I just couldn't leave one of them home.
