I really agree. I think that it really was uncalled for. I've seen worse contestants that late in the game that weren't bashed so badly. I really think that Jason's laid back personality really grated on Randy and Simon. I don't think they felt he took it seriously enough (whether he did or not, I don't know how anyone knows; but I think it bugged 'em that he wasn't so intense).

One thing I bet you is that Jason won't end up with high blood pressure.

I do whole-heartedly agree with you there! Yes, the judges have been harsh in the past but I think there was something about Jason that really unnerved them. They just couldn't "control" him, ya know? I haven't yet caught up on all the interviews he's done so far but I did Tivo and watch the Ellen and Regis & Kelly performances and he really outdid himself on Ellen with "Daydream". He did it even better than his original performance. There is really something special about that boy and like he said in one of his interviews.... "I think I'm what AI was originally meant to be all about.... the originality and the uniqueness" (or something to that effect). The judges have really let me down this time. I'll watch the rest but I really don't care about it anymore. And I will definitely be buying Jason's music in the future. My husband said last night that Jason is someone he'd love to sit and watch at a bar (or other really small venue). There's just something he's got that's genuine and intriguing.

Just an FYI for the Bryan/College Station "Dreadheads"...... Candy 95 is selling Jason t-shirts - $5 with all proceeds going to the Childrens Miracle Network. Here it is..... Candy95.1 - Staff Got hubby and I each one today!

That was fun. That link also took me to his own website. Pretty cool! I liked how it had his charity information and the forum was family- and work- safe. Everything had to be below PG-13. ;)

I agree completely! I think David Cook should win b/c he has the versatility and the maturity to handle it. I also think he will have tons of great singles and cds that I for one will buy! They all deserve to be where they are coz they all have tons of talent. It will be fun to see where it takes them!

Ok, I'm going to disagree with you all ;) -- I think David A was amazing - particularly with the 1st song. I've tried to vote & can not get thru :(

David A has a great voice, but his attempt at contemporary tonight really, to me, showed his commercial limitations. I know that he will appeal to some in album sales, but he's not unique or versatile enough for me. :( Sayesha did pretty well with her songs.

But David C did an amazing job with the great Roberta Flack song and sang one of my all-time favorite songs, Don't Want to Miss a Thing. ...aaaahhhhhhhh. :)

I voted for David A. about 10 times. I just think David A. has such an angel voice. Yes, David C. is a great vocalist but I am just not a rocker. I really liked David C.'s second song.

That's funny. I watched his exit interview. And his "advice" for the remaining contestants was "Don't take it too seriously". Then he corrected himself with "No, no, you should take it seriously. Just don't take yourself too seriously." You are so right Misti1.

OK...here goes. This is hard for me. ;)

I was at a rehearsal during David A's first song...and I just managed to catch his second song. I was not impressed at all. I thought it was very dissapointing.

:(

*phew* That was hard! :p I'm serious though, and it makes me sad.

Awww Megan. I genuinely know how hard that was for you. Big Hug. It was a needed attempt tho - to do something contemporary and in his age range. But just didn't fly. Randy was right .... David singing to his "boo" just didn't work.

Sorry babe. For you, though, I think it was his first disappointment. :)
