My friend's Dog...
 
My friend Lauren's dog, Mugsey, was hit by a car today. He's 11 years old. He had to stay overnight at the vet. He is temporarily paralized on one side...it'll take a few weeks before they know if he'll ever be able to walk on his own again. Lauren and her sister (and Dad) are really upset. If you could keep them and Mugsey in your thoughts, I know that it would be greatly appreciated.

I am SO sorry. I have personal experience w/ this - so I now how scary this is. I'm hoping for the best.

Prayers that Mugsy makes a complete recovery and that his family are okay too, this must be very hard on them all. I love the name Mugsy too funny.

I do hope he pulls thru without any complications. I know how difficult this is for the owners since I've had three dogs in the past 48 years get hit by cars.

Oh goodness Megan I am so saddened to hear this....poor little Mugsey :cry: My aunt has had SO many dogs that have bit hit by cars (not all hers, alot of them were neighbors dogs) as she lives out in the country and people just FLY down their road, it is so sad :( My brother has had a couple of dogs that have been hit by cars too and it is just INCREDIBLY heartbreaking :cry:

I will be thinking of Mugsey and will most definitely keep him in my prayers :hands: Please let us know if there are ever any updates.

I hate to report this....I just found out...

Mugsey got out and was hit by a car again - he passed away last night. Lauren, my friend, is so upset and blaming herself for this. Its not her fault...accidents happen. Dogs escape! She did what she could to keep him safe!
She's gone through so much loss in her life recently...its like...this is all she needs! Its so unfair. I don't know...I wish there was something I could do for her. and on top of everything, she's in the middle of finals for college.
She's kind of over the edge right now and as much as I wish there was, there's nothing I can say or do to really help her right NOW. I feel so useless. She's especially upset because Mugsey bit her - hard - when they went to move him so they could get him to safety. That just made her feel more guilty.

I guess prayers are the only thing that i can really give her right now.

Megan, this is just so sad. Prayers of course but I just know your friendship will mean so much to her at a time like this. You have lost your dogs in a different way of course but she knows if anyone, you understand. Hugs, Joan
