I'm about to throw it out the WINDOW!!!!!!!!! My stupid sewing machine is really irking me today!! I have never had any problems out of this one but today it keeps snapping the thread. not sure why. I have checked the tension...and it is ok from what I can tell. I am using a new thread so that is the only thing I can think that might be the problem. I am just irritated right now  :thumbdown |
Take a deep breath....grab a drink ......stretch...... and maybe you will see the problem.... good luck.....I have those days too.... |
Most likely it's the thread...try a different one. |
I know exactly how you feel! Everytime I sew, I feel like tossing it out the window:rolleyes: Here's a couple suggestions for you. Hope it helps! Bobbin case tension may be too tight. Upper tension could be too tight. Improper threading—double check the thread path and ensure the thread isn’t catching on the spool, laser cord, or other obstruction. Bad thread – Dark thread tends to break more easily than light, as cotton, rayon, and other weaker fiber threads. Sharp or rough needle eye. Replace the needle, and make sure you are using one that is large enough (a 4.0 is ideal) to accommodate your thread, especially if it is heavy or metallic. |

I checked the bobbin and upper tension and they seem ok. I really think it was the thread. I changed to a different thread for the decorative part of my "project" and it worked out fine. I was using a black polyester thread before and I really think it was just junk or something. thankfully, what I am making is for me and I'm not selling it LOL I will keep an eye on the needle as well. I just put this one in about a week ago but you never know!!! thanks again!!!! |
