What can i do with my floors? I have old tiles that are just ugly and messed up but underneath them are wooden floors. I already started to take off the tile, they were coming off anyway. I think i want to keep the wood floors but they still have the glue from underneath the tiles and are all sticky. There's also some scratches on them from us taking them off. What can i do? |
my dad did this to my bedroom when I moved out. They sale glue removed at lowes to take the glue off... then sand them down and refinish them. |
there is a thing called goop remover at home depot and lowes..you can use that to get rid of the lingering glue. Then when you have the money get the wood sanded, repaired and stained. |
Ick! sounds like a big mess:( Another option is a floating laminate floor, you can install it right on top of your exisiting one. |
Home depot rent sanders for doing floors. You could just take the glue off with a sander. I love real wood floors. |
Thanks guys! I didn't know home depot has the glue remover. I am going to buy it and then i guess hire someone to sand it, etc. cause i dont think i can do that myself lol. It's like a dark wood |
oops i forgot does anyone know of something that takes off tiles easily? I've been doing it with a screwdriver:rolleyes: |
