Wow, that's scary! Being a Florida girl, I only eat fresh fish but I know there are a lot of people out there that probably eat the boxed stuff so thanks for the warning!!!

WOW that is freaky and so scary:eek: Thank goodness I hate frozen fish:laugh: I'm with Monica, I only eat fresh fish, we're so lucky to live where we can get it year round:)

That is so strange! It says the nature of the pills should be known on March 3rd which is tommorrow. I wonder what they'll turn out to be. I also wonder if pills were found in any other fish- the article kind of sounds like there wasn't. If not this could be a scam. Regardless thank you for posting this- I don't eat frozen fish either but if I did I sure wouldn't take any chances.

I believe this was authenticated by www.snopes.com so it is unlikely it is a scam.

some of us on the East Coast (and the West Coast) can get fresh fish also
(we have water near us as well),

we even have Maine Lobster near us. :2omg: Maine even supplies Florida with that!
But the convenience of the frozen fillet is easier sometimes.
and if I am correct, this was the breaded kind, that do not normally swim in the waters fully breaded.
Obviously, we all have to watch what we buy these days.
we just do not have alligators living in our ponds.

I hope the pills turn out not to be poison. We eat fresh grilled salmon once a week, but I do love to eat at Red Lobster. :)

What is strange is why they haven't found any other pills in other boxes. (If they did they didn't report that yet). I may be pessimistic, but I hope that the woman didn't do it to get attention. :confused:

That's what I was thinking! She probably made it up. This wouldn't be the first time someone has faked finding something in their food (like when that woman said she found a FINGER in her chili at Wendy's).

Either way, I'm glad I don't eat Groton's and/or frozen fish. :p

No I saw it was on Snopes- I'm not questioning if a woman really said she found pills I'm just wondering if she possibly put them there herself.
It just doesn't sound right if pills were only found in her box of fish.
