Have you traveled the world?? I was just watching A Map for Saturday, a documentary of this guy that traveled to 27 countries in a year and it was sooo interesting, i sooo want to do that, not in a yr but maybe go somewhere for a month or 2. My cousin is currently doing it, she is never settled, everytime i speak to her she is somewhere else and having the time of her life. She already knows 5 languages. Has anyone here gone back packing? |
Foreign Travel - not for me right now..... No Long Backpacking trips (just short ones at the campground trails)........ But I am hoping to see more of the Good Ole' USA. I really have no desire right now to go anywhere outside of the country..... and there are so many neat places here that I haven't seen. This summer we are hoping to see KANSAS CITY.... I have never been there!! I also would like to visit Hilton Head sometime. (Traveling in an RV with Shelby & Seymour is So Much FUN!!!) I guess if I was single.... and Yorkieless, it might be more appealing. |
I would love to travel the world. I first need to win the lottery or sell all my possessions or both! I have been to nearly every state in the US - but so much still to see here. I have been to a number of Caribbean Islands on a couple different trips. And I am hopefully going to Australia this summer. Thought I was going to Brazil last summer but it didn't happen. |
Oh I soooooo want to do that too! I recently read the book "Eat, Pray, Love" where she spent a year living in 3 different countries. I would so love to do that! |

Yes, I've traveled alot. One of the best was backpacking for 3 weeks accross Germany..... We had alot of fun. Of course we had lived there before and we knew people places and things we wanted to visit. Our new adventures will be inside this great United States. In a few weeks we are going to Carlsbad, CA to visit.....but there is no place like home. |
i would love to. |
I did alot of backpacking through Europe. This was along time ago and things were alittle different even though Europe is still pretty safe. I traveled with friends and stayed in youth hostels. We had so much fun. Coming from South Africa I have done alot of traveling. That kinda stopped after I got married and now live in the US. Take a few months off and go to Europe over the summer. You will have a blast. :2party: |
I love traveling. I haven't made it out of the country yet, but hope to within the next year. I love going places, even if it is nowhere special, just something new I haven't seen yet. |
I lived in Germany for 4 years, saw a lot of Germany. Traveled to Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Have been to England, Bermuda, went on one cruise.. Love to travel.. but now with furbutts it is in our motorhome..Glad I saw what I did when I did..LOL |
I have been to just a few places inside the US, but I think I would love to travel around the world. My aunt & uncle are retired, and they've been to almost every country. They are going to Barcelona and Italy (again) later this year. I want to go ALL over Europe, and there are some key places such as Italy and Ireland where I'd like to stay for a couple months. |
1 Attachment(s) yep, been there, done that and loved it. We travelled through Europe and Turkey, Israel, Jordan and Syria. (and countries in between).... Attachment 199513 It's a MUST before you decide to settle down. Start to save your money now. Did you finish college yet? If not, maybe you can take a year off and travel. I did it on summer vacation and one semester was study abroad! But also be aware that taking your Yorkies along will be difficult. This was definitely before my Yorkie days. |
I had a roomate that was a flight attendant. She was 26 and had been to 30 some countries. Have you ever considered flight attending? |
I've been fortunate to travel abroad as a youngster with family, but there is still alot I want to see and do around the globe. |

I've traveled the world!:) I went to Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, Morocco, France, England, Canada...then I got back around to the big golf ball...:p |
My father was in the service and we traveled a lot. My mother and siblings did not enjoy it much, but I loved it and definitely have the travel bug. During that time we traveled through Europe and many of our own states, but I made it my mission to visit all 50 states before I turned 50. It was so much fun and I think I would like to do it again, as there is so much beauty right here at home and most of it is off the beaten path, so to speak. I have also been to Aruba, Antigua, Bahama's, St Maarten, St Thomas, St John, St Vincent and Puerto Rico, but if I were to travel abroad once again I think Australia and China would be high on my list. Oh, and Croatia too... |
I live to travel. It is my passion and I go at least one place new every year. Two if I can manage it. The farther away the better for me. Father being military I hit almost all the states growing up. |
I never traveled the world backpacking, but I have been to Ecuador (for a month to study), Spain, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. And then on a cruise with stops in St Maarten, St Thomas, and Haiti. I've been to Canada too and Nevada out west, and most of the East Coast states. So, I guess I've sorta been around the world. LOL |
