What has this world come to???? This is just another reason I don't let my daughter ride the bus! I am blessed that I don't have to....this stuff just scares me to death!!!! http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?S=7923713 |
That is so scary. I would NEVER let my child ride the bus. I remember having to ride for half a year when I was in elementary school and a HS student brought a gun on one day, the older students were constantly harrassing the younger ones. I always sat near the front b/c it was so scary. After hearing a few of my stories, mom arranged her work schedule so she could pick me up! |

Wow! This is horrible! What about the kids on the bus? No one has said anything while it was happening? When I will have kids I would never let them ride in the bus! |

I'm so glad I don't have kids yet, I will probably never let them out of the house if I do. I can remember being younger (7 or 8) and allowed to ride my bike w/ my best friend in her neighborhood and going trick or treating w/o adult, there is NO WAY I would ever let my kids do that. Nothing ever happened to us and were safe, but still. I always wonder if its more bad stuff happening these days, or is it just more advertised when bad stuff does happen? |
Oh my goodness :( :( :( Why didn't the bus driver do anything?!?! The article indicated that she was screaming ... did he just IGNORE her?! |
there was a lady in our church that gave a testimony about how she was raped at the age of 7 by some of her "friends". I just stop and think "OMG, my daughter is going to be 7 soon...I can't imagine!!!!!!!" and that was 40 years ago,..so it clearly wasn't much safer then, I dont think. I would seriously freak if this were my daughter. I would be so angry. |
This is terrible. My kids will never ride the bus either. I know what goes on. I refused to sit in the back because everyone in the back was always doing stuff they weren't suppose to. |
OMG That's aweful. I just don't understand how it happened on a bus with 60 high school kids?!? Who would rape someone with 60 people around?? And why wouldn't anyone have done something. I think it would be pretty evident if someone was having sex on a bus, especially if someone was being raped. Just a crazy situation... |
I don't know what upsets me more - that one sick boy would do this to a young girl (or anyone) OR that numerous kids right there would do nothing (or didn't do enough). |

great just what i didnt need to see my little girl starts kindergarden this year ! sick how in the world could something like this happen why didn't anyone at all on the bus do something !! |
This is unbelievable that someone could get raped in a bus with 60 kids? Someone had to see...why didn't they alert the driver? I could see if the kids were being noisy and he didn't notice the screams, but someone should have let him know what was going on. What a sick world this is! |
Some people are SERIOUSLY disturbed!!! WTF????? :( :( I rode the bus forever and I was fine on it! although there is a lot that goes on that no adult or supervisor is there to see or witness. Maybe schools need to start assigning 2 people per bus. One to drive and one to supervise! Thats just sad and wrong that this could happen! Poor girl!! |

That is disgusting! |
How in the heck did this kid manage to do this on a bus full of kids!?! :confused:I just think back to the few times No one saw this? That's...odd...and scary. Thankfully, I didn't really ride the bus that much--in high school, I did in middle school. I remember riding it ONE time my senior year when a Jr girl was bullying my elementary age younger sis  and she came home crying about it--she rode it quite a bit. I usually had some kind of practice or club meeting afterward school. I remember she rode one day and one kid stabbed another on the bus. I don't think either of us ever rode it after that! |
How horrible! and yes the driver doesn't inspire confidence. I listen to dr. Laura radio talk show and I am horrified at the moms that call, saying their child was molested at a sleep over, by the friend, or other. My older daughter never slept over, I did have her friends sleep over in a spare bedroom. My son, no sleep overs yet, other than cousins, again in the spare room. I was shocked to hear that a friend he has wanted to sleep over and the dad said YES, he has not even MET us!!! What the H? what is wrrrong with folks? |
