this is by far the coolest website, my husband is a sheriff deputy and he told me about it tonight, you type in your home address and it tells you all of the registered felons in your area, pretty neat!:eek:

Yikes! I live in a town of about 3500 people, where everyone knows everyone, and here's my stats. All within 2 miles of me:

Attempted robbery in the 2nd degree
Attempted criminal use of a firearm in the 1st degree
Attempted promoting a sexual performance by a child

Stalking in the 1st degree
Unlawful imprisonment in the 1st degree

Hello Vanessa..........We have something in common my husband is also a sheriff deputy, he has been with the department for 19 years. He got one of the new Dodge Charger last year w/police package under the hood......they had to take a special driving class because of how fast it can go!!! It is his new toy!!

I tried my address and it said it doesn't exsist. Btwn this and the name site that also said I don't exist, Im beginning to think I live in an alternate universe.

My husband has only been a deputy for about 2 years (he's only 23 as I'm only 21) and I'm actually going throught the hiring process and should start in April! but it said on there that not everything is accurate because it gets it from the state and county governments and they are not always acurate but I pulled up my address where I live now which is a stinkin country club that is way to damn expensive and there was more in here than i would like to know about so glad im closing on my house on march 5th, I told my hubby that i was staying with him at work tonight because of it loL!!

I looked on Snopes.com and now I'm confused because it has the Megan's laws which maks it so that if you are a felon it is all public information and the ones I looked up here I found also on the sheriffs departments website for the county I live in so now I don't know

One thing that was interesting, which snopes points out, is the sponsers on the site! Did you see those?? "You might of killed her, but you can still get away with it!" OMG I was rollin when I read that! LOL...but yeah, I don't know either? But snopes is usually the truth isn't it?

Oh and Vanessa....look at the faq page. It says you (me, anyone) can submit a name of a person they believe should be on the list and they will add it! Haha says they "usually verify" but don't have time so its based on trust! Haha...interesting huh?

this is crazy I would really like to know for sure if it is true or not I mean snopes is usually pretty accurate, I hope I didn't get fooled by something stupid on the internet! Im good about finding scams with our furbutts but hey who knows! LOL

Yeah, ya never know huh?? I always try to check stuff out, doesn't mean I always find the truth but...I have a hard time believing like forwarded emails and stuff. People are so good at making stuff look REAL anymore!!
