I feel lucky though, we've had soooo much bad weather this winter, ice storms and 2 feet of snow blizzards and I have not so much as had a flicker of power failure. thank god!
Last year we had an ice storm and something happened I never seen before in my life (and I was 30 at the time!) underground electrical transponders were popping left & right... bright flashes, loud booms... weird weird weird! Anyways I live in a townhouse complex and my 'branch' of townhouses is in a U shape, with 3 buildings not attached on 3 sides around the parking lot, with an island in the middle of the parking lot. I saw a transponder blow there but did not lose electricity... come to find out the other 2 buildings lost electricity for 2 days!! I was sooooo lucky!! :)
I hope you get your phone back soon! |
LOL!!! Phone is still not back :( the thing that is weird is that our phone is through our cable company and i have internet and tv but no phone i am starting to wonder if maybe there is something wrong with the modem:rolleyes: Looks like i need to talk to neighbors and see if they have phone service well shoot that won't work either because i am sure 99% of them have phone service through the phone company :(
I hate when the transformers around here blow they scare the you know what out of me. When ours blow it is usually from some poor squarrel :( |
