I have a open floor plan, and I am currently painting our entire interior of the house a light sand/brown color. I painted the kitichen a Behr Paint color called Fossil Stone, a mossy stone green. It offset the kitchen and added some separation. |
I think I FOUND IT!~! 2 Attachment(s) OMG!!! I was looking at some forums on paint(yes I get obsessed until I find what I need... ).. anyhoo... I came across these pics... now tell me what you guys think... my house has the White - Albacaster Border and has Dark Mahogony Cabinets... and all my furniture is the same.. what do you guys think? Do you guys think this color will work? I wanted a neutral color but something that DOES have color to it.. so that I can put curtains of just about any color on and not worry the paint won't go.. so opinions please? |
We have an open floor plan and have used a combination of a yellow -- more of a light mustard color and a grey/cocoa color in combination in the rooms and I really like it :) |

Sounds like everyone has painting projects going on. |
1 Attachment(s) My floor plan isn't as open as I'd like, but it's semi-open:laugh: Anyway, I chose paint colors by the directions of the walls, if that makes any sense. Lemme see if I can find a pic or two. Like when facing one way, all the walls you face are one color, you turn around and the opposite facing walls are another color. Then the one main, largest wall is another color. You can make them as different or as similar as yoiu want. i chose bold colors because I like them. My big wall is red, with blue and yellow accent walls. I found one pic of a couple of Christmases ago, don't mind my goofy hubby:laugh: The opposing wall of this pic is red like my sectional couch. Oh, and I just noticed that my baby Starr is in this pic too:( I miss her! |
I like this color. It looks similar to what my base color is in my house too. You can accent with lots of different colors, so thats nice! It looks good next to a white and also we have some walls we painted a very dark - burgundy color I guess (so 2 walls that caramel-like color and 2 walls burgundy in my living room). They say that each color from room to room should match every room if you were to put them together, if that makes any sense? |
I have a townhouse with an open floor plan. The whole thing is painted the same boring color right now! :( |
that looks similar to what our last house was painted in. It was Behr Paint, Cup of Cocoa. I loved it!! Good luck!! |
4 Attachment(s) All of my living area in my open floor plan is a cafe latte color. I think you can get an idea about the color. IT really goes with everythink and make color pop! |
