Need Scary movie suggestions I love scary movies but rarely do they actually "scare" me. I bought Steven King's "rose red" this wknd and spent the majority of the movie laughing at the ridiculous faces "emers' made. OMG, that drove me insane!!! Anyone have any suggestions for a truly, good, scary movie?!? |
I love scarey movies too.. Get Wrong Turn.. and Wrong turn 1, Also, When a Stranger Calls, Texas Chain Saw Massacre. mmmm I will think of more for you:D |

usually alone but I'm going to visit my "friend/bf" (weird situation) in April so would like a movie that could actually "scare" me. and make me need to cuddle up next to him, lol. |

We Craven's 1972 movie "Last House on the Left" is probably the scariest movie I've ever seen. "What Lies Beneath" with Harrison Ford and Michele Pfeiffer is a really good thriller, too. Have you seen "The Omen" and "Poltergeist"? "Rosemary's Baby"? "The Exorcist"? "Dead Calm" with Nicole Kidman is really scary, too. |

Some people thought it was corny but for some reason it scared the crap out of me. The Blair Witch Project. If seen in the right envirment can be scary. |
Anymore girls???? I LOVE LOVE LOVE scary movies, but only if I watch them with my hubby. |
The Descent is a good one, we just rewatched it. My boys love scary movies, they're big on zombies(me, not so much). Anyway, Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 are pretty good, Land of the Dead with John Leguizamo and we just saw Cloverfield(and liked it, not too scary but suspenseful), Halloween by Rob Zombie was an interesting remake. I hate the Saw movies, too gross. 30 Days of Night was cool, Josh Harnet was worth watching. I'll try to remember some more, we're mostly big on monster movies. It's our favorite past time. |
Pitch Black and the GrindHouse movies(Planet Terror and Death Proof) |

Not the sequel, though. :thumbs_do |
I don't like scary movies (horror), but thrillers are fine. I liked 1408 and what lies beneath. |
OMG thanks everyone these are all great movies and most we haven't seen. I love scary/thriller movies but the ones lately have been terrible. We'll have to rent the Decent but I'll make sure I see it with my DH. Keep them coming.:D |
Try the SAW movies - I've watched them all - They are sick - |
No one has mentioned Pet Cemetary????? .......................................... ^ link ^ Not a great horror movie, but it has its moments. (only 11 days to the Houston area Yorkie meetup!) .......................................... ^ link ^ |
"Jacob's Ladder" starring Tim Robbins is a good "edge of your seat" movie. I warn you, this is not a movie you want to walk out of the room on - if you do, you could get "lost". Hubby and I had to watch it twice cause we left the room for potty breaks or more popcorn and couldn't catch back up. I give it a :thumbs_up The first "Nightmare on Elm Street" was really scary when I first saw it in theaters. I like the original Halloween as well as Alien and Aliens (just the first 2), The Howling, and The Lost Boys. Best of luck - there are some really good suggestions for you already posted. |
The Ring ..... (holy sh**) |
I haven't seen it but I think it was voted VH1's scariest movie of all time - "Hostel". |
The Excorsisim of Emily Rose still creeps me out if I even think about it! |
Oh I HATE scary movies... Ive never seen ANY of these! HAHA I get anxious when I watch them and tense up and every muscle in my body just aches by the end so I just dont watch them anymore at all since I get NO enjoyment from them at all! LOL Im SUCH a baby! |
