Blizzard like we haven't had enough of winter :angry: -- we've got like 7 or 8 inches of snow on the ground, then it rained almost a 1/2 inch overnight until about 6:30 am, and then changed to snow - we might get 6 inches of snow & very high winds until at least midnight. So ice, covered by snow - that will be fun driving - UGH Who else is getting this gunk? I'm sick of shoveling, figuring out how I get to work without some idiot hitting me, or just sliding down my dangerous driveway :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow: |
Same here...only we are suppose to get 12" of snow!!!!:eek: And the wind is going to cause blizzard conditions...I so want winter to be over. |
Yuck! I am sorry to hear about your gloomy weather. I feel your pain, I am NOT a fan of the snow. I'm here in California and it's going to be a beautiful day. I'm headed to the beach in a couple of hours. You can live vicariously through me if you'd like! |
We have frezzing rain here today, Its a real mess out there, After that its suppose to switch over to snow, Iam so winter burned out, They even said not to go to church this am, the roads are so dangerous..:( |

Us too - yep 12-14 inches of snow for us today after the freezing rain. After the horrible back up of thousands of cars on the interstate two weeks ago with the foot of snow and ice under it, they have pretty much shut down everything here. :thumbup: They are asking people to please stay off the streets so they can try to keep them clean of ice before the snow comes and the temps drop. All of the churches here and in surrounding cities have cancelled Sunday services. So, we've having church TV today and will just look out the front room window at the beautiful but dangerous snow.:) |

We had sleet/ice/rain at 5:30 am when I took Jack out to potty. Chuck had to "slide" to Church to turn the boiler off, he's the building mgr, and put up the "closed because of weather" signs on the doors. It's 40* and raining/sleeting now with dropping temps and snow tonight. It's "eat out of the freezer day" so we're toughing it out with a rack of ribs, fresh green beans and potatoes & 2lbs of shrimp & homemade bread. I was hoping to find some chili in there. |
I'm so sick of this weather, they are saying with all this snow this spring we may have a flood due to all the snow and then spring rains not looking forward to it,my power went out in the middle of the night but came back on 1 hour later but my cousion lives about 8 blocks from me is sitting with out power ,she said if it stays out to much longer shewill end up going to her daughters . |

Hey! How are you other than cold? My sister called and said it is snowing like crazy in Ankeny. She was here for the weekend but had to leave last night to beat the blizzard. I guess we live in God's country. It is windy but 40, and the sun is peeking out! She also told me about the article in the paper about little Lexie and how she has been missing. So sad. |

We are good. Have been busy. I got a new computer, a little Asur Eee and now can be on Yorkie talk everywhere in the house!!!!:D Hope you are warm and dry and safe at home. I like blizzard parties. Hope you have one. |
I'd like some snow. :( :( But I'm sorry you guys are getting clobbered! I know how it is, snow is nice the first few times, after that it can just go away. I actually thought about Lexy as soon as I saw you saying that it was so nasty there...oh I pray she is warm and comfortable. |

I have no idea if we are going ot get snow but its getting really dark out here! :( I am SOOOOOOOO SICK of snow this year also! We just keep getting a foot at a time! Last week we only got about 7 inches of snow and a TON of rain that had nowhere to go, so it created just mounds of slush 6inches deep! For the first time in 7 years that Ive had my car, she would not budge from her parking spot! I had to call out of work and wait for the plow to come! CRRAAAZZZYYY!!! summer oh summer where are you?? :) |
Definately stay inside if you can!! The last couple times we were supposed to have siginificant snow falls we haven't gotten anything. It's really really windy here today. Hope you all stay safe!! |
