The Bodies Exibition..... For those of you that have seen "The Bodies" you may want to tune in 20/20 tonight ....They're doing a piece on an investigation as where these bodies came from....one of the theories is that China, yes China, .... may be selling executed prisoners to the exhibitors....there's suspicion because most of the bodies on display look fairly young and where healthy looking......I will be watching... For those that don't know about the traveling exhibition this is their web site explaining the process..... http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/bodies.html |
There are actually two of these types of exhibits. Their names are very similar. I heard the rumor of there being prisioners. Thanks for the heads up..I will be watching it. They are running the exhibit at the Sea Port here in NY. I want to go see it. |
I find the display so fascinating!.... I haven't been able to attend as of yet....the closest it was to me was when it came to Detroit but my husband doesn't find that sort of thing interesting and I didn't want to drive there alone...maybe next time....I didn't realize they're are two exhibitors..... |
the exhibit is amazing... just amazing.... |
In December when I was in Las Vegas, I believe this exibit was @ the Tropicana. I don't know if it's still there or not. But I do know that I could never go to that. I don't want to see what's underneath my skin. Only my opinion. |
I saw the special and I have to say that I want to go see it but I think I will wait to see the one from the guy in Germany. I think that 20/20 was right on the money questioning the guy with the one from China. I do belive that there is something not so on the up and up about how they are acquiring their bodies. It's amazing how sheisty people can get when money is involved. It made me think about how it was way back when they had grave robbers etc when they needed fresh cadavers for the medical schools. |
kind of creepy but id like to see it also |
I have been wanting to see this exibit for years. Or atleast one just like it. I love the way that is done. I have a hard time learning from text books. Just from the video on the website I have learned so much. I would definately donate my body to something like this. It is a great teaching tool for the next generation. I must take so much money to preserve and prepare bodys like that. So many questions and so little time. I guess that if they are prisoners and were going to be killed and dead anyway what a great way for them to pay back society for whatever they did while they were alive. JMO please don't hate me for it. |
This exibit was close to us last year...but we never made it to it. They had a website...I will have to see if I can find it...CRAZY! |

The german founder has a lot of information for donating your body..his stuff seems on the up and up. |
I went to see something like that at the Phoenix Science Center last year. I dont think it was called Bodies,I think it was called Body Works, but the exhibit was great!!!! I wish we would have had that around when I was in college and taking Kinesiology!!!!(I am sure I spelled that wrong) It is much better than looking at a book!!!! I guess if you arent the science type, you might think its morbid. It is so interesting! In one of the exhibits (not the one I saw) they have done a man riding a horse. Its well worth the money to see. (if you like stuff like that) |

Thats the one I saw, Body World, not Body Works. |
I would like to see the body world gonna check if they have it locally. After seeing the 20/20 thing on the other one I dont' want to spend my money there. |
It is such an interesting exhibit! We saw it last year and I highly recommend it to anyone. |
