What will you do with your rebate check??
 
Will you spend or save your rebate check? I'm think an extra $600 might help some more people come to the Meetup in KC :D :D

Wish I was married, so there was $1200 coming instead of $600, or that my daughter was 17 instead of 18, so I could get the $300 for a child.

I'll probably save some, use some for the meetup & pay some bills.

Were going to be paying off majority of our debts (credit cards, loans) with our checks, then putting the rest away for our wedding!

What is a rebate check? Do you mean the tax income checks??? Lol.

Is it suppose to come after everyone has filed...like after the deadline? Or will it come to you right after you file?

So paying off bills with it. I usually pay off stuff with my income tax anyhow. Oh well I will pay off so I can shop more..llol.

I read that they are being sent out in May. You have to have filed a return to get it.

WASHINGTON — President Bush signed legislation on Wednesday to send $300 to $1,200 rebate checks to millions of Americans as a "booster shot" for the economy.

Rebates are to go out beginning in May to taxpayers and low-income people, including seniors living off of Social Security and veterans who depend on disability checks. Businesses would get tax breaks for investing in new plants and equipment.

Well depending on what happens between now and when we get our check (they say they will start sending them out in May)....we hope to plan a trip to Vegas!!

my tax refund is going to pay off all my credit cards and my rebate check will be 1,500 so i am getting a new stainless steel stove and microwave..

Both mine and my fiances are going towards our honeymoon since our tax refund is going towards our wedding. Oh well, it is going to be so worth it!

Most taxpayers will receive a check of up to $600 for individuals and $1,200 for couples from the Internal Revenue Service, with an additional $300 per child. Hey I gotta buy a new sliding glass door with mine! Beat that :( LOL It seems there is always something mandatory to spend any extra money on! But at least I will have this extra money which makes me happy and grateful! :)
