OKAY Gross.....I think I just threw up in my mouth a little   - UGH... :p :D :p :thumbdown |
Ok...there goes my lemon unless it is artificial and comes in a package. |
I wish I never watched that! When I go out to eat I always drink water w/ lemon, unless I'm getting an alcoholic drink..I guess that just means my only choices left are alcoholic drinks, LOL. |
I'm not a big fan of Lemon Water either but I started putting lemon in my water because it suppose to break down the fat (don't know I try that is LOL) but NEVER AGAIN!!!! |

That makes me think of something funny. My daughter is a self appointed bathroom monitor. Anytime someone leaves without washing she can't wait to tell me. OMG mom that lady didn't wash her hands! She was recently at a competition so it was mainly middle and high school kids, teachers and parent monitors. I was there as a monitor. She came from the restroom straight over to me to tell me, Mom someone just left the restroom without washing her hands... and she was an ADULT! I guess she was double surprised since it was a school event. She is 13 years old and really shouldn't be so easy to shock, lol. |
Eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww:eek: I always ask for lemons in my water....as it is said to help w/ weight loss too! Just today, I was talking to my Dad about our favorite Chinese rest. and how they no longer did fortune cookies and how they have also started not putting a lemon slice in the water...but will give you the lemon juice packet - which I don't like....I wonder why? Maybe they hard this! Gross Gross Gross!!! But if you think of it, the lemons are probably just stored in a box in the storage room where anything can crawl over it (or in transit or where ever they are being delivered from) and they are probably never washed when they are delivered or used! YUCK!! Okay...I am passing this on....I may never have another lemon in my water when we go eat dinner ever again!!! ---course this could be anything too...not just lemons! I am sure if we know some of what is in the health inspection reports, we would probably never eat out again!!! |
[QUOTE=Nikki+2;1760731]Then I guess the next question is WTH are they doing in the restroom to make such a mess? Of course I understand the need to wash your hands but it doesn't seem like not washing would lead to fecal matter EVERWHERE. I would have thought it would have just affected the unwashed person and anyone unlucky enough to shake hands with him shortly after. /QUOTE] No, the fecal matter, or anything else they touch from going to the bathroom, if there is bacteria on there hands, it can go WHEVEREVER they touch. That's why in public restrooms I NEVER touch the door handle, or the faucets. Too many people don't wash there hands, and if they walk right out and I DO wash my hands, I grab onto that same door handle they grabbed, well I may as well just wiped their butt for them too! |
i knew that cause i was a waitress and we used to put lemons with ppl's drinks but i never used my bare hands, i always used a napkin to pick them up. Even when we put straws in the drinks we weren't supposed to touch the actual straw, just the paper. It is gross tho, cause the ppl that cut them use their bare hands im sure. |
i'm a server and we use tongs..i yell at people if they stick their hands in there! ewwwwwwww |

I was showing this to my daughter and she reminded me of this.... We were eating at one of our fav. Mexican rest. and they had a new waitress who was very odd....anyway, they didn't bring the lemon for my water....well they normally will bring several lemon slices on a little saucer, but this time, she just carried it FROM the kitchen to our TABLE with her BARE hands AND put the lemon into my WATER for me!!! Can you imagine! I immediately grabbed a nearby waiter and asked for a brand new glass of water.... |
I drink lemons in my sweet tea, at home and at restaurants. I do wash my lemons at home, but, for 22 years that I've been drinking sweet tea, I've never been sick after eating at a restaurant. I will still continue to drink lemons in my sweet tea...I'm sure there is a lot worse that goes on in restaurants that most people don't know about..I've seen girls in fast food restaurants, that work there, coming out of the bathroom as I'm going in a stall, and they don't wash their hands, and go right back to work. |
