Does anyone have a Living Will for their Yorkies?? I don't know why this popped in my head but I guess we all have to die at one point or another but I was thinking if me and my husband would pass where would Bailey go??? I guess my mom would take him but I would hate for her to say she can't care for him like she should and just give him to just ANYONE  Then again maybe my sister would take him. I'm sure alot you guys may not have a Living will as I don't but I know I will write one sooner or later. I know if anything would happen to me, my husband works entirely TOOO MUCH to take care of Bailey......Sorry you guys didn't mean to talk about death but the thought just pondered my brain ;) |
I made a thread like this before. If something happened to me my babies would be with my bf, but if something happened to him too i would like them to go to someone on YT that knows about and cares for Yorkies. Since i have 3 i would like them all to go together but don't know if that's possible. I don't have anyone specific for them to go to but I know someone on YT would be perfect, as there are many great ppl here. |
heres my thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=100393 |
No, but I know my Mom would take care of them. She loves them as much as I do. |
I have often thought of this. My son and his girlfriend would be the obvious, they are very good with them and C & C love them... but, they wouldn't get as spoiled. I am so worried about leaving them next week when hubby and I go away for 10 days. I know they would never let anything happen to them, but they are not as protective as I am. My son plans to immigrate to Australia when he has his degree, and then what??? I honestly don't know of anyone who I would trust them to. That is a very sad thing to say, but even our closest friend think we're "crazy" with our dogs. They would never think to get home in time for their meal times, not let them by the pool if they're out, bath them every week, wash their butts if there's poop stuck, I could go on... Guess I could have them sent to Patty58 or abbie's mom. I had better just make sure I'm around for the next 10 years or so.;) Sheilagh |

my hubby will take care of my furbabies if i pass on before him .but if i pass on after him my middle daughter will take my furbabies shes the one that shows and loves my furbabies as much as i do. |
if something happened to me then it will be my hubby who will be taking care of his girls! if both of us are not around then it will be my good friend who loves the girls like her own! |
If something happens to me, my dtr will keep Cali and she know to find Pixie and Dixie homes with relatives or YT members. I have in my will that each dog gets 2500.00 for their ongoing care. |
Never heard of a will for a pet before ? But after my son was born, my husband and i made a will for him, so that if God forbid me and my husband die at the same time, my only son will be taken care of and have an appointed guardian for his care. |
Seth, Sasha go to my oldest son and my daughter in law, they love them both all most as much as Jack and I. Silas goes to youngest son and daughter in law because they love GS. So my babies are taken care of. We also had to take into consideration which children could afford their care. |
This actually scares me to think about bc if something happened to both me and my husband, I don't know what'd happen. All of my husband's family are dog lovers (and have small dogs) but none of them are diet obsessed (which Marcel needs) and they take their dogs to groomers (which we don't do - as Wylie was traumatized) - so, what would I do? Seriously, I would want my babies to go to someone on YT. :( |
I dont know who will take mine! I wont trust him with the hubby :( |

I have my daughter as her caregiver if my husband and I both should die. If only one of us dies, then of course Millie stays with survivor. We also have set aside a specific $$ amount from the estate to give to my daughter for the care of Millie. Of course my other daughter was insulted that we did not pick her, but I explained that she and her husband (who absolutely adores Millie) work too much overtime and was always out on the weekends and my other daughter is much more of a home body, so that's why we picked her, but she certainly could have shared visitation. :D So I feel secure in the knowledge that Millie will not be disregarded in case of our demise. |
