Owie! Poor Me - Need sympathy! I went to the dentist this morning and had a root canal and one extraction done. It took 3 hrs for the root canal and 10 minutes for the extraction. Two of my back molars broke last week  . The dentist was hoping to do two root canals but the last molar broke in half lengthwise and he didn't even think he could do a post, so we decided to extract it. The same thing happened to the tooth above it about 5 years ago. Weird. My teeth have always chipped and broken. I take very good care of them and even the dentist doesn't know why they do that. So, when I got home, I took a Vicodin and 15 mins later I was wishing I had just toughed it out. Vicodin has never made me sick before but it sure did today. So, I stayed home from work and went to bed for the afternoon. It's better now but still hurts something fierce! Poor, poor me. Sniff!:cry8: |
Awwwww I'm so sorry you are not feeling well........and oh girl I know what Vicodin does and its NOT a good feeling..... :nursing: :getwell: |
(((Tinks Mom))) Feel better! I've had a root canal done, and while it wasn't as bad as I was expecting,it still wasn't plesant. |
BTW if it makes you feel better I have to go see a Oral Surgeon to see about my wisdom teeth and I have to go next Monday to fill some cavities  |
YUCK! I hate going to the dentist..I don't know about yall..but Vicodin gives me a good feeling :D GET BETTER SOON! |
Thanks for the commiseration! I really should go to bed, but I have a nasty headache and I know I won't be able to get to sleep. Whah! Actually, the root canal didn't hurt that much, it was just layin on my back for three hours that did me in. The extraction hurt alot later and my jaw from being open so long and having so many injections. 6 of them! I did get a couple of breaks tho. I think I should have waited and had the extraction done on a different day. I'm glad I don't have to have my wisdom teeth done. Did that many years ago when I was 21! |

I am sorry you had to go through that. I go and get put to sleep to have broken teeth extracted. It costs a lot but worth it to me. My molars keep breaking cause I had them filled when I was 13 (now 44) and the old fillings keep expanding and contracting so they break easily. |
Poor Susie. If it's not one part of your body, it's another.:( If it makes you feel any better I've had a horrid stomache ache all day and I don't know why. I don't feel sick. It could be combining meds.... Anyway... I hope you're feeling better by now. Dental work is never any fun. (well, unless you can have nitrous along with it :D ) |

Feel better!!! |
I hope your feeling better today. I can sympthized with you. Having dental work done is the pits. |
So sorry your not feeling well:( Having teeth pulled hurts period:( feel better soon:) |
be careful you do not get a "dry socket'. That gives a new meaning to pain. Keep the gauze on the extraction site until a GOOD blood clot forms. Vicodin or CoTy makes me sick also. I do not see how it is a recreational drug. Feel better soon. |
