Has anyone seen..
 
(I hope I can mention it here..)

As anyone seen the movie, "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas?"

It's one of those movies that is good because it's so cheesy. :p It's very camp and not nearly as dirty as the title implies.

ETA: It's currently free on OnDemand (Comcast) if anyone wants to see it.

I saw that movie YEARS ago. The only thing I remember is that it has Dolly Parton in it. :p

I saw it long time ago too... doesn't the Sheriff break out singing and dancing in parts of it? I seem to remember that :)

I've never even heard of it. LOL Speaking of Dolly though, did your Dolly concert get rescheduled or is that just a rumor? I know you were looking forward to it. :)

Haha, yeah- the Sheriff is Burt Reynolds (sp?). It's based on a musical so there is a lot of singing.

Yes, I think it is going to be. :( I guess since it was just announced today it'll be awhile before the actual rescheduled date comes out. Just my luck!

Yeah, I remember Burt being in it...but it is Charles Durning who played the governor that I remember singing so silly-like. Did Burt Reynolds actually do any singing in it...I don't remember that part if he did:confused:
...small factoid....didja know, Dolly actually wrote and sang "I Will Always Love You" about Porter Waggoner her first singing partner? (I'm a geek...and I was just reading an article about Dolly Parton this morning, LOL)

Haha, I didn't know that.. but then again.. I'm not sure I know Porter Waggoner is. Is that the man that used to wear the sequined, glittery outfits?

I've seen it several times and love it. Parts of it were filmed in our town and I got to see Dolly, Burt, Dom Deluise, and Jim Nabors. It was very interesting to watch them film different scenes and several of my family members were extras in the movie. You know how you see bloopers, well we saw alot of those happen in person. Very funny! Exciting for our small town.

I like it. I still like the song Hard Candy Christmas. They play it on the radio every Christmas around here.

That would be Porter, snazzy dresser, hmm?:D

I remember my older sister had that Dolly album with "I will Always Love You", and she wasn't even a C&W fan at the time
