I was born and raised in Johannesburg. After hubby and I got married, we moved to a tiny town called Trichardt about two hours away. We hated it so much. He got transferred back to Johannesburg and we have lived in a town called Edenvale, just outside Johannesburg ever since ( about 28years) We are planning on moving to somewhere on the coast when our son is out of Universlty. AZ We moved to Arizona 2 years ago. We live in the East Valley and before that we were in Maine. I was born in central NY and moved to Maine when I was 13. I love it here in AZ!! |

I just found this thread....it is very interesting. I was born in Lebanon, Oregon. While still a baby we then moved to Joplin, Mo., where my grandparents lived. My mom divorced my biological dad and then my grandparents, my mom, my brother and I moved to Corpus Christi, TX. My mom married a Navy man who adopted me and my brother and we moved to California for a few years, then to Lake Charles, LA. Then my dad retired from the Navy after 20 years so we moved to Aransas Pass, TX, then down to Weslaco, TX where we stayed for my 9th, 10th and 11th grades, then my dad got called back to the Navy and we went to Virginia Beach, VA. where I graduated from high school. After my dad got out of the Navy again after serving 2 more years, we moved to Houston, TX and then to Austin, Texas. By then I was 20 years old and got married and moved to Houston, Texas in 1969. I have been in the southeast Texas area every since. |
Hi this is fun ... I am from Germany and we moved to the US (MO) for about 4 Years ... then to IN for a year then back to Germany and our last move will be in a few months to FL .... we also moved about 3 times within Germany, so I am deff. done moveing ... :D Yeah - I am so excited ..... :jump28ib: |
I'm a California Girl~ born and raised here. I've lived in Fresno, Sacramento, Napa (most of my life), San Mateo, Woodside, San Jose, Half Moon Bay, Menlo Park, and Palm Desert (the last 8 yrs). I want to move either back to the Napa Valley somewhere so I'm closer to my Mom and my friends or possibly to the S. CA beach area (far away from this god-forsaken desert, LOL). Just don't know exactly where yet:). I also lived in Las Vegas and Reno for a couple of years each. Very interesting places they are:cool:. |
I was born in The County Of Essex, United Kingdom and have moved all around the U.K..one of the reasons for this is that my husband is in the Royal Air Force...We currently live near Oxford and have lived in Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Cheshire, West Midlands, Lincolnshire, Suffolk...I think thats about it! |

I was born and raised right outside Boston, Ma. Loved it, great place to grow up and go to school. I moved to Dublin Ireland when I was 20 lived there and London for a year. Moved back to Boston and finally moved right outside Portland, ME about 3 years ago. I'll never go back to MA. Maine is so beautiful...long winters but you need to learn to play in them..skate, sled, ski etc. and the summers are just perfect. I've traveled all over Europe and a good part of the US. (my Mom was a travel agent for 25 years!) I don't think I would live anywhere else..maybe a nice warm island somewhere for the month of January might be ok though :cool: :ip:..... |
Nice to see where everyone has been and where they are now!!! I was born in Canada, have lived in Florida and New Mexico. I finally settled back in Windsor, Ontario Canada (although every winter I long for warmer climates) to raise my family and look forward to retiring in Arizona someday (soon i hope)! |
I have only ever lived in Canada (Saskatchewan... although quite a few different places in Saskatchewan!) but I'd like to move to Texas next year. |

Lets see...well I used to live on the eastern shore of Maryland which is like it's own state or at least it felt like it. Then I moved to the western shore of Maryland. Right now I live in PA but were about to move back to Bowie, MD. We really want to move to Colorado some day. Were thinking in some years when were ready to start a family and stuff we want to be in Colorado. |

I was born in Malaysia and lived there all my life until I had to move to Ontario, Canada after getting married to my Canadian husband and now I am stuck in Canada especially during the winter...oh I so can't take the cold. |

Oh Geez. We're a military family, so we've been all over. Born & raised in SE Georgia. Moved from a small town, to a bigger town, then finally to Savannah for several years. Then off to Sierra Vista, AZ. Then to Leavenworth, KS. Then to Kaiserslautern, Germany. Then to Vilseck, Germany. Then to Wuerzburg, Germany. (6 years total in Germany) Now we're in New Jersey & we'll be heading off somewhere new in the next year. Having lived in all of those places, we've traveled all over the Southern half of U.S - from L.A. (husband is from Los Angeles) to SAV. & all over Europe. There's only a handful of European countries we haven't seen. |
Born in New York, moved and live in Maryland since 15 (?), lived in VA Beach (on temporary basis) for 1 1/2 years due to job transfer. Have spent summers in: Arizona, Massachusetts and Michigan. |
