I'm so irrated!!
 

I work for a mortgage company here in Texas and right now in our office we have a pet store owner that my boss is going to help get a loan for a bigger pet shop location. Well that is all good if it was a reliable pet store owner but I've been to their pet store before I knew my boss would be helping them and I was appelled by what I saw. I'm 100% sure that they get their dogs from puppy mills. How can I stay calm and do my job when I'm going to be helping people that have no respect or care for the animals they are selling. I went to their pet store this past saturday to look again at their pets to see their condition and there was this little yorkie girl and I was disgusted by the way it looked. The cage was clean but its coat and apperance was not anything you would like your yorkie to look like and have. And then an employed came to deworm the dog and just grab it as if it was a rag and then threw her back in the cage.:mad: :(

I know I can't interfere in the process as its not my business but I don't want to help these people get a bigger commercial property so they can house more dogs from puppy mills. :mad: I can't go against my personal believes.

oh my I am so sorry! I dont know what I would do. I am sure that your boss is all about the $$$ right now and not the animals. Maybe call the humane society and complain about them?

I believe the good always come out in every situation and just maybe somehow the loan will fall through. I'll pray that that happens. Is your boss an animal lover and aware of the dangers of puppy mills? Maybe he needs to be educated. :mad:

He's not really an animal lover. I did try telling him about how they keep their animal and how it's wrong and where they get them and all that but he wasn't to interested in listening to me.

I'm sorry that you have been put in this situation. Sounds like your boss is all about $$$$$$$$$. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to swallow our beliefs to survive:(

tell the boss what you think and have seen or go to his boss

Well their is no one else that I can go to as he is the owner of the business. I'm being hopeful as it seems it is not set on paper yet that he will be helping them.

Sorry to tell you this...the world is a bit disgusting and money makes it go round. Sadly enough. The bank and your boss is only looking at the bottom line of what the bank will make for their lending. Banks are struggling now and if something or someone seems like they are a good investment they are right behind it.

I would keep quiet for now and when all is said and done behind the scenes call the aspca and any other human folks to check them out.

You have to be careful because you dont' want to lose your job.

I know I feel like I have my hands tied because of course I don't want to lose my job but then I don't want these people to aquire this property. I just saw a picture of the property and it's a metal building like a warehouse type of thing.

I guess once this whole thing is over I will call the aspca or humane society here in my area.

I will let you guys now what happens as time progresses.

It is a shame but I guess the old saying is true ...
