If we are buying wine, we usually buy a Riesling.....yummmmmy...But lately we havent bought anything because hubby has started making his own...Made some this winter out of some grapes we planted 2 years ago that is too die for.... |
I would reccommmend Reunite- Lambrusco. It's a sparkling wine. It has a wine flavor plus it's sweet and very delicious. Best way I can describe it is, almost like a alcholic grape juice with fizz. Here's a link of what the bottle looks like: http://www.winechateau.com/vsku1017517.html I've bought it at grocery stores, drug stores and I belive Walmart too. It's between 6-8 dollars. If your not huge on wine, you are going to love this one. |

I love Asti Spumante. It's like champagne, but sweeter;) For Red, I love anything 2004. That was a great year for some reason:laugh: |

 YES! My FIL was the winemaker there for YEARS (winemaster) and even has a wine named after him:D . However, it's not my FAVORITE wine, LOL. Very good but I have other favorites. Most of the Zinfandels these days are too "hot" or spicy (which I love) and for someone who's not used to drinking wine it might be too much. I'd stick to a cabernet or a syrah, or a petite sirah if you want red. If you could find an Altamura Sangiovese, that would be great too; it runs about $25 a bottle here in CA. If you want white, I'd try a Sauvignon Blanc or Fume Blanc . If you want something sweet, try a Riesling (if you have a Trader Joe's, they usually carry one by Trimbach that's EXCELLENT) (and that's Riesling, not Dry Riesling). |

Also, you should try any kind of 'rose'. It's tinted pink in color  :D and is sweet and light. My kinda drink! |
I'm not a really big wine person I but love Eco Domani Pinot Grigio here is the link for more information http://www.eccodomani.com/about/pinot.html hope this helps you out. O forgot to add its about 12.00 a bottle |
I like the Stone Hill wines. My favorite is their Concord. |
Wow! So many different kinds!! This is gonna be hard. Lol. I wish I knew somewhere close by that had wine tastings. There is a world market near me surprisingly...I have never heard of it before and so outta curiosity went in and wow...they have sooo many neat things! I did notice all the different kinds of wine. I wonder if they have wine tastings. Hmm...if not...I guess I should start eating Olive Garden alot more often to try their different wines! Lol. |
I only have found 1 wine that I like and it's called Moscato D'asti |
