Ha, ha, ha, white gravy is the good kind of gravy. I don't think it's very popular up north, as my NY friends turn up their nose at it. Basically a good white gravy is chicken (beef, bacon, sausage ect... or whatever meat you just pan fried) grease and drippings, with a few tablespoons of white flour, salt & pepper, with a lot of milk.

White gravy done the right way is good on pretty much everything.

Ohh.. I'm originally from VA- just didn't know it by name, I guess. We always bought a jar of gravy. :p

Your darn right it is! I never knew what it was until I moved to Texas now I like to dip Thick toast in it! MMMMMMMM

REAL Gravy with REAL biscuits done right (Crisco melted in the bottom of a pan, so the bottoms are almost fried)...HEAVEN! That's the meal I demand from my Mom and Grandma at holidays! I've perfected it, but it's just so nice to have it made for you!

A jar?! Hmmmm, I've never seen that before. Don't think I'd partake in a jar of gravy.
