Wind Damage....
 
We Texans haven't had any ice or snow damage..but the wind has been blowing GALES. Another moved thru last night and blew the siding off our garage. Hope that's all. Man the house is only 6 months old but I guess when there are wind gusts of 59 mph, things eventually gotta go!!!:mad:

Oh wow! Here in Waco they are talking about gusts today possibly up to 80 mph!! :eek: Isn't that hurricane force?? Last week as I was driving home, I was two roads from my house and saw what looked like our trashcan. Turns out it WAS! lol!

Toto...I don't think we're in Kansas anymore! :rolleyes:

Oh my gosh, that's scary... i hope everyone stays safe and doesn't have a lot of damage.

OMG Patty at least it was the siding and not your babies.:eek: This has been the strangest winter (at least for us in Ohio) - I have never seen so much rain and wind this winter - again last night (must have been the same system) with strong thunderstorms and wind which woke us up at 3-3:30am.:eek: Well - I guess better rain than snow.;)

Hahaha..Judy that's funny about your trash can...sounds like something that would happen to me.

OH wow! Thats crazy weather too! I am from New England, we don't generally get wind like that, but we get the snow & ice. Im sorry to hear about your house though! I can't picture wind that strong!

I live in the middle of a pasture and we got the same winds yesterday. We dont have other houses to help with the wind. Well we lost the roof off our shead and some of the siding of our house. We are still getting it today. We even had a tree fall. I thought Rite was back. LOL!! March winds in February. I guess we will have April showers in March.

The old people around here have a saying, March winds bring April Showers wich brings May flowers.

Oh no! :eek: Please stay safe! I know that the weather up here said that there was a strong front coming in from off the coast down there, so I bet that is causing a lot of wind...it has been windy here (but not bad), but we will get the rain too.

Whew, I am so tired of winter. Blowing snow, ice, wind. Today we are under a winter storm warning. They are saying 10 to 15 maybe even 20 inches of snow.... depends on the weather station you are listening too. It was a real hairy trip on the way home from work.... then more snow for the next 5 days, then the temp is suppossed to go down to -5....oh well, we are home now and plan on staying here for the rest of the evening just playing with the pups.

Here in DesMoines we are to get 10 inches of snow when it is all done it is suppose to snow all night and end 12;00 tomorrow afternoon the wind right now is blowing pretty good me and hubby went to the store today and mailed our secret buddy package off today.

Thank goodness our roof stayed on. We live in the middle of a pasture too so nothing blocks the wind..We don't even have trees. Our neighbors loafing shed blew down and lots of trees in the area are down. Now the wind has changed to the north and man it's cold.

It just got cold here. It went from 78 to 56 in 15 min. We only had 3 trees so now its just 2. They are in the back of the pasture so not worried about them falling on the house. I guess we should have thought to build where we had some trees. lol :D We did have more siding come off the house today. I know what we are going to do this weekend. Clean up and fix what we can. :confused: I cant wait till summer!!!!!!!!!! Galveston here I come!!!:D :D
