I pin the fabric and sew.. however when i get to the end of the side i always end up with more fleece than flannel... which.. in the end... really messes up the blanket.. it keep accumulating until i am done sewing... i turn it inside out and sew up the openeing but am left with more fleece than flannel... try that and see if it works any better for you :) I know I was really bad about pulling my fabric through while trying to keep it snug and straight. apparently, that is a no-no with fleece :D |

for special fabrics like fleece, there is a foot that you need to be using . . boy I cannot seem to remember the name :) if you have that it should solve your problems. :) |

You can also run a "stay stitch" around the entire piece of fleece before you begin to sew the two pieces together. |
Mandee i took your advice and the one i just did turned out perfect!!! thank you!!! |

Is it a walking foot? -------------- Would it help if you sewed the blanket with the flannel side down istead of the fleece, then you would be pulling on the nonstretchy flannel instead (so the feed dogs are pulling it and not the fleece)? Just a thought. |

Another thing you can do (only it takes more time) is to pin it really really well....meaning, when you pin it together, use more pins closer together. I think using the proper foot would be easier if you've got it though! |
