LAS VEGAS?????? need info I am going to Vegas! I have never been and want to see everything possible in 4 days.... LOL... any great advice? P.S. I found a great pet boutique online that is on the strip.... WOO HOOO |
Have fun, do a lot of shopping, book your shows in advance. Vegas is one of my favorite places!!! Where are you staying at? A lot of people say 4days is enough for vegas, but I personally think if you want to see EVERYTHING you would need at least a week! Have fun!!! Also, set a limit if your going to be gambling :p :p |
LOL I've been there 2 or 3 times, can't ever get me out of the casinos to hardly ever even eat..Never seen a show yet.. |
Free alcohol everywhere! There is a outlet around Circus Circus, check out the coaster on the Stratosphere, MGM grand is amazing lots of shops and dining, Treasure Island has a show every night out in front, and of course all the gambling and games shows etc! |
wellll, I dont drink and am way too tight to gamble, but BOY can I shop... haha we are staying at Imperial Palace, it is a "grown up " trip, me and 2 friends are going... we are fighting about the shows. LOL any info and advice will be very helpful, none of us have been... thanks d |
When will you be there?? We will be there 2-14-08 thru 2-17-08.:animal-pa |
I've been there several times and my favorite thing to do is walk up and down the strip. Bellagio is amazing, a must see. The Palms is a fun (and busy) place to visit at night. I went a few months ago and had a little too much *fun*. We only made it halfway down the strip (I was staying at New York New York), but I've heard that the Wyn (sp?) great! As for shopping, there is a mall at Ceasars Palace and shops everywhere. I've never been off the strip any further than The Palms or Hard Rock, so I can't help you there. Have fun! |
They normally have a laser light show in the Forum Shoppes Mall at Ceasars Palace, don't know if they still have the white tigers at the Mirage. Fashion Show Mall is below Treasure Island. The fountains at the Bellagio are great at night. Go to www.restaurant.com/ and sign on, you can check out the restaurants that participate. It's a way to save money dining, sometimes they run a 50-60% off the 10.00 price and they will e-mail you when this happens. |

We are flying from Eugene OR to Las Vegas on Thus am. We are staying at the Golden Nuggett (Fremont Street). Our sons wedding is at the Rainbow Gardens Friday night. We will fly back home Sunday. Where are you staying? It would be neat to try and meet up and say HI!! :animal-pa |
My husband and I are staying at the Venetian hotel. We're going to see "Phantom" Thursday night, and "Wayne Brady" on Friday night. We fly home Saturday morning. We can't take Sophie with us because we're flying Southwest, and they don't accept pets on their flights. :( Are you taking Moose with you? He is SO adorable! Quote:

I'm so sad about not being able to take Sophie too. If I had it my way, I'd take her EVERYWHERE with me! That's wonderful that your son is getting married...... what a fun-filled trip for you. I really wish that we would have booked our return flight for Sunday as well...... there are just so many things to do in Vegas! Friday, we're going to Fashion Show Mall, and to the Wynn for the all you can eat crab buffet....... that is a MUST! LOL! :) We've actually never been to Vegas, so we're getting really excited. :D Quote:

If you haven't seen a Cirque de Soleil show...it's a MUST!!! |
i was there a few years back...it was so hot that i really didn't do much...was mainly in the casino...walked around the strip...and of course shop... |
WOW, Thanks for the info.... we are staying at the Imperial and are fighting over which shows to see.. haha Of course, I want to see the Phantom, they want to see the WEIRD Cirque show, and I want to see Mystique... I know I will do lots of wandering, just looking.... I will probably never gamble but who knows... LOL |
I went a few years ago with my mom, aunt and grandma and the BEST thing we did was take a bus tour to the Hoover Dam. We stopped at a chocolate factory and it was great to go the dam with somoene who could tell you all the history and he told us cool things about buidlings as we passed by... best money spent.. if you have the time go to the grand canyon to that cool new glass look out... if you dare :p |
i went last feb. the "blue man group" is worth seeing |

Las Vegas is so much fun!!!....I have been there PRE Yorkie ownership :p .... Is there ANY of the nicer hotels .. that will accept furbutts? ( I know some of the "not so nice" ones do..... but I am talking Luxor, MGM, Xcaliber......... you know....) I doubt that some of the "celebrities" that travel with pets have this problem. |
Vegas is a blast, I haven't been there in a few years- I miss it!! LOL I always loved to go see the lights that were overhead...what is that called?? Fremont Street!! that's it! It is awesome...a big lightshow over the street a couple of blocks long-that and the Treasure Island show that is outside all evening long. They are both free...more money to spend on gambling then...LOL Have fun on your trip!! |
