Harry Potter Weekend!!!
 
Are there other Harry Potter fans here? I'm so excited for this Friday night. I signed up for the Midnight Magic Party at Barnes and Noble, and I can't wait! This weekend happens to be one of my few off, so I'm sure I'll spend it reading the book..... :D

Im not a Harry Porter fan per se, but I like the movies. Of curse I know is not even close to the books. My son likes Harry Porter also. I got him one of the books.

If you live in Illinois one of our chgo suburbs (Oakpark) is turning part of thier down town area into diagons alley. It was a huge success the last time they released a book. they had a rest. that served butter beer and choclate frogs. It suppossed to be even bigger this year, I cant wait!!!!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww i wanna go :( i cant even go to the midnight parties in my area :( i have to take my CSET on saturday, im not even going to get my book until the 19th :(

My son has made a point of reading each book in less than a day. I think when #3 came out they showed on the news - kids saying how quickly they thought they could read the book. Now it is an obsession with him. Last time, we went to walmart about 9am, bought the book - he sits up front reading while I shop. He finished the book before midnight.

This may be the only day he gets up before noon for the whole summer. Maybe I will sleep in, just for fun! He is 17 now, but no DL.

Yep, Since My birthday is today I have preordered the book and plan to celebrate with other harry fans at Books a million. I bought the tie and patch and are trying to finish my wizard cape but I was having sewing machine problems so that might not happen.

My son, daughter, and I (and mayber hubby if we can talk him into it) are going to the Midnight Madness Party at Hastings here in Lubbock. We're so excited. We can't wait! We've already reserved our book and are going to have big fun tonight!!

Well, now my son is making me stay up until 12:01am to take him to Albertsons as they were advertising on their door today! I guess he will be trying to finish it by daybreak. Wont see him tomorrow :)

i got an e-mail from amazon, they have allready shipped my book and it will get to me tomarrow........ , i guess that is going to be a good treat after i rack my brain answering questions allday..... i cant wait, harry will be spending his shortest time ever on privet drive, and he will also be getting his owls!!!!

I havent read the books but they are doing something really big for it here in Western North Carolina. I heard them talking about it on the Today show this morning!

Oh! Here's a good one, we left here at 12 to run to Albertsons. A guy is closing up and tells my son so. He says "but the sign says books go on sale at 12:01am." The guy goes back in the store to check. I said - go in and get it. The lady says it is driving her crazy that they posted that. Plus you need your preferred card to get the 17.99 price, otherwise it is $32.

Well, he got the book - but is he aggrevated with them. I said, good thing we didn't get there at 12:15! :D
