The ones that get knocked out of it are the ones that make over $100 and some thousand a year..The House proposal would phase out rebates for individuals earning more than $75,000 in taxable income and for married couples earning more than $150,000. We pay in about $8000-$10000 a year just in federal, but, the last 2 years we've gotten a little back..But, I'm not going to take my money and spend it, it's going in to my savings acct...! |

I can't wait! We don't have any children, but we will definately be filing jointly this year so we can get an extra $1200. |
They did the same thing several years ago as I recall. It was $300 and the "rebate" was considered taxable income for the year if memory serves correctly. Personally, it won't be a drop in the bucket for me. How about putting it all in a pool to lower gas prices, do something that would help the greatest number of people? |
