Umbilical Hernia! I noticed the other day a lump at the top of my belly button. It caught me off guard because normally I have a very flat belly button - it almost felt like I had an outie belly button on the top. It does not hurt but when I push on it, the lump goes in but on the bottom of my navel another lump comes out! Its kind of strange feeling. Hubby thinks I might have an Umbilical Hernia. Has anyone had this and what do they do for it? I am hoping that surgery is not the only repair for it! Any info would be great Thanks Amie |

My son had that also - Not as an infant though - it was a quick surgery - no big scar - just looks like his belly button is a smily face lol - Good luck - Hope it's nothing - |
My 9 yr old was born with one they kept saying when he gets bigger it will go away,it never did,He ended up having surgeryand fixed it.He was starting to have bad stomache aches before the surgery, playing ball running jumping etc all botherd him.Now he has no problems. |
I had it BUT mine looked more like as if I had a marble stuck in my belly button.. I've had it since birth... Just last year I had it removed.. The Dr. told me that if I wouldn't have it removed.. it could grow to be a little bigger than one of those BIG grapes.. OR ever worse.. It MAY burst if I ever got pregnant. And I know the ones that just "pop up" usually can get VERY painful.. So PLEASE go to the DR. ASAP |
