I just watched a episode on him yesterday on TLC......an american doctor was going to help him get better but the guy doesn't want his help and turned him down. It is pretty crazy!

I only saw the beginning, I didn't realize he had turned down the doctor?!:eek: Why? The part I saw he seemed so worried and was afraid it would continue to grow on his face. I figured he'd do anything to get better.

I saw it too! Just breaks your heart seeing something like that.
The poor man had to go into somekind of circus act to make money
for his family. So sad. There were other's but with different kinds
of outbreaks. Very difficult to see.

He turned down the help and continued to work with that cult/sect that he was with making money. My guess is that as a "freak" he made more money and didn't care to have to be a farmer to support himself.

i saw that on TLC. i was like is that true??? It made me itchy for some reason, idk i cant see stuff like that.

I know what you mean. I had to turn it off because we were about to eat dinner. I don't even have a weak stomach but it was ruining my appetite.

My stomach has been upset since I saw it! I saw a video on YouTube and there was one related to it about a baby with harlequin syndrome :eek: :( The is a horrible disease..I was going to post another thread about it, but I didn't cause the pictures were just too much.

I saw this as well and felt so very sorry for this man until he turned down free help to get rid of the warts because he made money from the circus off of his looks. He doesn't seem to mind how he looks at all. His two other friends are just as strange. One with horrible cysts covering his entire body and is called the bubble man, and a lady whos left side of her face looks like it just slid off her skull and is hanging by her chin. I think he has just become too accustomed to his life style and is in his own comfort zone. I'm sure when his warts start being life threatening he will seek help.

watched on tv things like taht make me realize how good i have it at times i just hope it doesn't pass on to his family

Yea i have a weak stomach so when they were showing the close ups of his hands i just couldnt watch

i know i saw that too. i didnt watch all of it.. was giving me the chills.:rolleyes: i felt so bad for him!:( but i just couldnt watch either!
