boy crazy!!!????!?!?!?!??!!!!
 

yesterday, I got an email from my daughters teacher. It said that she is having some trouble with her not "focusing" in class because she seems a little "boy crazy" :eek: :eek: :eek: OMG she is 6 years old!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooo in trouble. I just DREAD the years to come.

I had a talk with her about how important school is and that she needs to be sure to focus on her work and not her "friends". I just have NO idea how to handle this...she is soooooooo young!!!! she's my BABY!!!!!!!! :eek:

Ahhhh it is only beginning. I have a 14 yr old!! Please someone shoot me...:D

Mandee Bre was and still is like this. It started in Kindergarden and is still there at 9. Just make sure you are Open with her and let her know she can always come to you with anything....

LOL My sister kissed her first boy when she was 5 in daycare :eek: She's always had to have a boyfriend, from the time she was in elementary school :rolleyes: Have fun :p

also .. keep in mind.. she is 6... what 6 year old has focus at school.. not many.. and who are the kids causing trouble.. usually little boys.. so it just might APPEAR she is boy crazy... she sin't kissing at recess.. you are oK :)

no, but the boy that she seems "boy crazy" over has kissed her on the cheek behind the "white board"...as well as a couple of other girls. he's a ho!!! LOL

I really try. she has told me a few things that were a little "embarrassing" for her but I am hoping that she will trust me. I try very hard to keep that between us!

Mandee that's all you can do.. and if she told you about a few embarassing things then you are doing SOMETHING right... which will be hard once the new baby comes but i'm sure you know to keep the special.. mom and trinity time... and she's 6... kisses on the cheek behind the white board are normal :)

yeah, she's my baby girl. this is another reason I am secretly hoping for a boy this time :D

I am a kindergarten teacher and I would honestly tell you not to worry!;) Six-years-old is so young and at that age they are still adjusting to the social environment of elementary school. If you hear the same thing in 4th grade I would be worried.

It does sound like you have a "social butterfly" on your hands! I think I would have phrased it that way when speaking to a parent, rather that "boy crazy."

There is a little girl in my class, I am a 1st grade para, that is SO boy crazy!!! She is always writing notes to boys and she dosen't do any of her work because she is so preocupied with the boys:( :( She is always fighting with the girls:rolleyes:

LOL too funny, you just need to keep everything open and let her know she can come to you with anything so she feels comfy! Good luck girl!! ;)

I have been boy crazy since Pre-K. My first Boyfriend was when I was 4. I had a "boyfriend" pretty much all of elementary school. Thankfully by middle school I was fat and had acne, so although I had crushes on the boys, none of them like me (i'm sure it kept me out of A LOT of trouble). HS was pretty much the same. I lost weight and "prettied" up in college, and Ive settled down some.

My niece (who is 16) has always been boy crazy as I was early on. Unfortunately she didn't go through the fat, ugly phase and did get in trouble (sex at 14 :eek: ).

My mom tried everything to deter my boy craziness, and nothing worked. Good Luck though!

Mandee, my thoughts as an "old" lady who was an only child - maybe it is just because she has been an only child, and is finding boys to be different and interesting - I wouldn't be too worried at this stage. My son ( also an only child) found girls VERY interesting at primary school) He settled down eventually and went through that stage of HATING girls too!!

My oldest dtr came home from daycare one day and said "That darn Frankie was in my pants again today!" :eek: Yep, I freaked and shakily asked her to please explain. "He gets my pants out of the drawer and was wears them on his head". OK, I calmed down. It was the extra set of clothes kept there just in case. Now, Frankie looked exactly like Charlie Brown and was a terror. I had heard some true horror stories about him from the teachers and other moms. So, a few days later, she came home with "That Frankie made me kiss him today an I didn't like it". As I prepared for the worst , I shut my eyes and asked "Where did he make you kiss him?". She innocently said "On the playground, Mommy". I let it go at that and never heard any more questionable statements concerning Frankie. This same dtr had serious trouble paying attention in 1st grade. After many meetings with the teacher, we figured out the problem and came up with a solution. Between daycare and myself, we had over-taught her and she was just plain bored since everything that was being taught in 1st grade, she already knew. She would watch out of the window or talk to other children. The solution: The teacher brought in an alarm clock, set it on her desk (which was right in front of the teacher's desk) and the assignments became a challenge - beat the clock. She started doing her work and by 2nd grade, she was where she should have been with her studies and all went well from then on. But, Frankie went on to become the school nightmare;) .

Blame it on Disney.

I guess I was boy crazy too, me and 2 other girls used to fight, literally fight over this boy in our Kindergarten class. Everytime we had to pick a partner to hold hands with in line all 3 of us would push each other to hold his hand lol Looking back im like what was i thinking?!? I thought i was shy:eek:

What if you have a little boy and then HE'S like the one behind the whiteboard kissing girls?? THEN you have a problem :D :D
