affordable...anyone????? I am seriously freaking out at the price of some maternity clothes. Seriously..I have found t-shirts....T- SHIRTS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD....for $60-85 bucks!!!!!!!! seriously...that is just crazy. especially since you only get to wear them for a short time. it is making me crazy. I want to buy some maternity cloths but keep running into a major price problem. It's not that I can't afford it, it's the principal. I just can't justify spending that kind of money on clothes!!! I don't spend that much on regular clothes...and I will wear them a LOT longer than maternity clothes!! anyway...does anyone know of a good website with cute, affordable maternity clothes? I have found a couple with decent clearance prices but honestly, it just all seems very over-priced!!!! I was hoping to get some cute t-shirts with cute sayings on them...but that is apparently out of the question. I will just buy some blank t-shirts and have my bff screen print something cute on them for me. this is just a joke!!!!!!!!! |
I like to shop at Old Navy, JCPenney, Motherhood Maternity, Kohls, and sometimes Target will have something "ok". If I think of any more I'll let you know! |
Two of my daughters are both expecting also...They say the same thing that you are saying...It is a joke...The prices that they are asking. One daughter gave up and is just buying Women's clothing in larger sizes..... Joyce |

I got mine at kmart, they were cheap but held up for me. Of course that was 7 years ago but kmart and walmart are pretty cheap |
I got mine at target, walmart and consignment shops. With all my pregnancies I made sure I owned at least one cute maternity dress. |
There's a whole maternity section at our Ross, do you have one of those there? Everything was adorable and I was browsing through the clothes not even knowing they were maternity, until I happened to see the tag inside one shirt:laugh: Good luck:D I just wore bigger women's sizes when I was pregnant. |

Hope this helps. I am in the same situation. I refuse to even pay $44.00 for a pair of maternity jeans. I did get a few pairs yesterday on sale for $26.00 at Kohl's. That is the cheapest I have found them. I got some good deals this morning at Kohls.com using promo codes..here is my post. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=113571 |

There are a lot of things that Kohls has in store, but not online, so I would check the store if you haven't yet! |

I agree-Target has good stuff for cheap...I have a couple friends who are pregnant now, and they buy some stuff there. The key is to go when stuff is 30% off-not wait until it's 50-75% off-that's when it gets picked over. Also, GO to Target rather than shop online-you should really try on the clothes to see how they fit, as my friends have mentioned that maternity clothes fit differently on different people. Finally, try more than one Target, if you have several in your area...for example, one of ours always has the good home stuff on sale, where another one has a better seasonal dept for Christmas decorations, etc...think about the demographic in that area, and what people will buy and not buy. When I lived in Minneapolis, I used to buy Christmas decorations at a Target that was in a predominantly Jewish area-they always had tons left when other stores were picked over. Just a couple ideas of Target science for you ;) |
