While the person posting this was being sarcastic and was actually supporting me there was in fact a post where a member suggested that since I was looking for a new puppy maybe I should get it from this kennel and then when it died, I would get a replacement. That did upset me greatly and I felt it was cruel and deserved a suspension under the zero tolerance policy as did many other members who I have heard from. She also stated that she did not respect my opinion which should be grounds for suspension under the forum rules as I read them. |

Well I have a total of 18 Yorkies in my house right now. 12 are my permanent residents and 6 are puppies needing homes. Some too young to place yet..what does that make me??? ....let me answer that: 'Yorkie Crazy'!! I do not have 1 cage set up, all mine are confined in the kitchen when I am not home. They get attention all day and weekly baths. I don't have a life but that's the choice I made...AMEN!!! :D Hugs, Irene |

I have seen boards disparaged in magazines such as the Chronicle. Usually, along the lines of "the people who really know their stuff, who are out there winning at the shows are not typing in on the boards." But that is not the same thing as saying "thou shall not post on a message board." Truly, I think that kind of thinking is all wrong: 1) Please don't tell me because you are a top kennel or handler that you can't take the time to post on a board or help a pet owner out - if you can write long articles in dog "Trade" magazines; and 2) How can the public possibly become educated about dogs and proper breeding and care if the people in the "know" wont post on a public forum? There are plenty of email/yahoo lists going around but most of these are closed to the public and require an invitation. That doesn't help Joe-dog owner when he is looking for his first puppy. If dog show people really want to stop pupppy mills and pet shops sales- it has to start with THEM. Reaching out to the public and helping them make good choices. How else will people learn why they shouldn't buy from pet shops? The pet shop owners aren't going to say anything! I think a message board is a valuable source of information and as long as people recognize that that's all it is - we can stop all the in-fighting and help one another instead. |
Kim Kim..this is my problem with your posts..you said it yourself in the first line... Lengthy Lecture... We all have our own style of posting. Perhaps, you feel I lecture also...I try so hard not. Lets talk to each other as friends and not teacher to pupil..JMO |

Bringing up here again is only stirring the pot. Please take it to PM withe the ADMIN and stop using the forum as a place to crucify those members that are not here to defend themselves. I'm reporting this post. |
I Joined Yt In February Of This Year. Initially, I Found Alot Of Useful Information Concerning My Baby. But, I Will Tell You That I Don't Post Much On This Site............1- I Don't Have The Time To Be Here All Day..........2- I Still Feel Relatively Like A Newbie And Have Been Quite Surprised At How Heated Some Of The Topics Get. I Will Continue To Look At This Site For Useful Information, But In All Honesty, After Today I Doubt Seriously I Would Want To Join In Any Conversations. It Seems To Me This Has Become More Of A Chatroom Instead. |
code YTCA...We can pull up the Code of Conduct..bylaws etc..I have never seen it.. |
I just try to stay out of the controversial threads. It seems some go from heated to attacking and I don't want to be a part of hurting someone elses feelings. Most people on here don't attack though. I would really hate to see thie forum become such that people couldn't express an opinion. |
