Not eating sugar is impossible, but you can contact your doctor and see if you can see a nutrionist about a diet they recommend for type A diabetes, or for gestational diabetes. The food in those diets are low in sugar content, also it depends on how much you eat. If you stick with the recommend serving sizes then you can eat almost anything! :) I did a low low sugar diet for 8 months and lost 30lbs! :) I can give you some ideas for what to eat if you want to PM me! I got the diet from a nutrionist! |
What helps me alot is making sure I have cut up veggies in my fridge, then I always have a snack on hand. I also try to boil like four or five eggs at a time and when I want something to curb my appatite I have one of those, Copper likes them too. Another thing that makes me feel not so deprived is to stuff my chicken breasts with different yummy things. my favorite low sugar stuffing is sauted mushrooms and onion with spinach and then I add some cream cheese to help it stay together and a tiny bit of bacon. The stuffing keeps the chicken moist and you get almost a full serving of veggies. These are a few things that helped me keep with it, I gained 60 lbs when I was pregnant with Emma and I have lost it all! Mostly by cutting out sugar and breads. good luck |
I had gastric bypass many years ago. Sugar makes me deathly ill. Sugar is really like poison for your body. It is literally like a drug. I use Splenda. I heard recently Splenda is unhealthy. I am still using it as I can not tollerate regular sugar. |

I love my coffee in the morning and I have to put sugar in it, I use the raw sugar and I wish i could find something that taste as good but was better for me. Then in the afternoon i switch to icetea, I brew it with tea bags, but then I have to add that sugar!!! ARG!!!!!!!! |
I could never go without sugar..I would go crazy! haha |
Ha  I don't think you can ever fully stay away from sugar, because sugar is in so many things....I never use much sugar, unless it is baking and then, I use the organic stuff from the health food store.....but I just got a little discouraged because almost everything I pick up to buy, contains so much sugar!!! So that is what I am trying to watch! It will be hard, but so worth it! (I hope) |

It is hard..especially when there are so many way to eat healthy and lose weight. You know..in the end, its all about calories in and calories out. If you have more calories going out than coming in, you lose weight. So that's what Im doing. I used a website that told me how many calories I loose daily based on my height/weight/activity level and then log my calories for the day. I add any workouts that I do and aim for a 500 calorie defecit (for a 1-2 lb loss a week). This way, I have leeway with my foods and dont have to completely cut out sugar, carbs, etc. Your body needs all that stuff. So, if I want to have a slice of cheese pizza, I do and eat more low fat/ fat free for my other meals or I work out a little more. Good luck..theres a lot of information out there..its just about finding what works best for you! |

I have lost 70 lbs approx in 3 years-Diabetic- had to cut out the REAL pepsi- went to dietwild cherry pepsi, use splenda, watch carbs, really didn= try and lose- but it just fell off- i have to watch it - it just keeps falling off. Baking with Splenda is different- go to their web site- baking with it has some tricks- need to add something moist when baking cakes, breads, like applesause for the light stuff, baby prunes{sounds BAD, BUT NOT}for choc, ect. Slenda's web site has info. My white cat is named SPLENDA!LOL |
Remember, your body changes carbs to SUGAR! i WAS TOLD COUNT total carbs- the sugar is included in total carbs! |
http://www.deepdownwellness.com/alth...dasymtoms.html Just to let you know what I found out about Splenda. To me it's poison and I will never use it. I had several of these symptons and had no idea why until a YR'er sent me this article. Just felt the need to tell you. |
