What do you all have planned on getting your significant other?

ba humbug! LOL Oh yeah wrong holiday! I do not have a sweetheart so I think me and my boys (yorkies) will take a trip to petsmart and I can buy them some new heart shaped squeaky toys! :)

I got hubby an original Giants jersey. A bit more than I wanted to spend but he has wanted one forever and a day and being as his boys are in the Superbowl it was a must...lol.

we will do dinner out on the weekend...one dinner for us alone and one out with the kids as their v-day.

My DH and I are going to The Melting Pot for their special Valentine's Dinner :)

I forgot to add to my post that, I think We will be in Charlotte that weekend. he loves Dave and Busters (big kid at heart) and they have the closest one to us.. So I think that will make him happy! Plus a weekend without kids! (dont think I will be too happy, it will be the first weekend without my 8month old:( )

I think the first year we dated I got him a bottle of Issey Miyake (sp) cologne. I put it in a box that I wrapped with heart paper then took pictures of myself blowing kisses and put around the box.. He loved it!

We rarely do things without ours. You should maybe plan a nice dinner at home so you can include the baby.

I personally hate going out on V-Day. The restaurants are packed, offer a lot of pre-fix menus and seems to take long to get fed and your rushed to get out...lol.

My boyfriend and I don't really do Valentine's..I have never been a fan of it..so we will probably just use it as an excuse to go out to eat at a nicer restaurant and hang out..

That is what I want to do, but every one is telling me you have to make time for yourself. You have to keep the fire burning.. I know it would be good, and I do need a break but i hate to do it.

I've been to the Melting Pot once and I loved it. I really want to go back but I can't spend $140 for the Valentine's Dinner. I might go so other day, maybe for our anniversary on Feb 26th, the regular dinner for 2 is about $50-70 and includes salad, cheese fondue, and entree.

I think it's important to include the kids, hopefully they will pass this tradition down to thier families. I get them a small gift and then get a huge dessert treat too! :love: :hearts-xx

Well, my DH says that Valentine's Day is a women's holiday...that he would rather give us each (daughter and I) flowers...........anyway, we normally go out to get and get take out...and just enjoy time together (since he works so much). I haven't really thought about it this year....boy, it is coming up fast!!!!

me and my fiance dont celebrate valintines day either. i dont see anything special about getting flowers on the day that society tells him he is supposed to get them for me! IMO. BUT i am thinking about geting the puppy a little stuffed toy as a date. lol.

Oh, yay! I'm glad to know you liked it!

I am really excited! DH and I always seem to make big Vday plans that fall apart at the last second (missing reservations, late at work, ect ect) so I'm hoping this year is better :p
