Tile Floor Question So I'm thinking of putting down a tile floor in my kitchen, my question is Abby our shih tzu has accidents at times in the kitchen. She isn't pee pad trained and I have tried to get her to use them when were away but she will eat them crazy girl!! We are only gone about 4 hours of the day 4 days a week Anyway my question is for those of you with tile floors if your pup has a accident on your tile will it mess up the grout? I know when we put tile up we sealed it in the bathroom so I am assuming that would be done to this floor as well. Grayson does really well but Abby is almost a year and it took Grayson about that long to "get it" I just don't want to put a nice floor down only to have her ruin it. Thanks guys! |
I have tile in my bathroom and the boyz occasionally forget that it is not "their bathroom" We sealed the grout and so it does not soak in, it just puddles with no problems. |
I have tile in my kitchen and it's fine.Cleans up well.Just make sure the contracters seal the grout.(sometimes they don't ask a customer):) :) :) |
We have tile too, it cleans up easily with no problems in the grout. |
excellent!! I just wanted to make sure if or when we do put down tile that Abby's accidents wouldn't mess it up, I would hate to have to redo it because of that!! |
Our new house has tile everywhere but the bedrooms. It has been a life saver with Spike. We haven't even sealed it (keep meaning to) and it cleans wonderfully. |
You can seal it yourself with a silicone sealer from the home improvement store, but it has to done every once in a while to keep the seal. |
I have sealed my kitchen backsplash before it's a bit messy but not a big deal! I just wanted to make sure Abby wouldn't ruin the grout with her accidents. |
