From what I understand, one person hosts the party and they try to sell purses to you "off the wagon" at an awesome price
My co-worker has these all the time..

she also does sunglass parties:D

My SIL went to one and she got a Coach (they are knock offs) but you couldn't even tell, and it was sooooooooooo cute. I have real coach myself) I'm just curious if anyone sells them so i wouldn't actually "have to go" to a party?

yeah ive been to a couple!! they are fun!!:p they're knockoffs..but the one's i have been to are reallly good ones!;) havent been to one in a while though!!

I thought so too... A woman here in Buffalo was arrested because she was hosting these parties selling "coach" and "tiffany & co" jewelry..

Some of them aren't. I think you can choose from a few different packages or something. The highest package sells the fake designer bags.

I don't understand how you make money by doing it. You have to buy the purses from the company first. Then you have to sell them. If you don't sell them, then you lose your money. If you sell them cheaper, you still lose your money. Isn't it like a pyramid thing? Is it like the home interior stuff?

I have went to a few of them sometimes you can hardly tell, i mean down to the zipper they were that well done. The ladies that had the merchandise went overseas to areas in China and bought them and then brought them back for these parties they also had a few women that would buy from them to throw more parties. A friend of mine also used to sell them but she had a catalog that she ordered them out of so if she didn't have what you were looking for you could usually get it, or something similar

Well I don't want anything to do with illegal stuff.....I just saw a real CUTE purse (the one my SIL got at a "purse Party") and wanted one like it! LOL Oh well :rolleyes:

yah.. they are lots of funnn!!:D food, drinks, and cute purses;) im not one to go buy a bunch of fakes..but if they look good and are at a fun party with your friends-why not?! ;)

Dont think its illegal for you to purchase one...it would be the seller that could get in trouble if caught :)

Oops, I didn't know this was illegal. I went to a purse party my coworker's mother hosted for her friend. I didn't like anything I saw, but there were alot of fkae high end name purses there. Guess I won't go to anymore of these!

I've been to a few. They are tons of fun. And most of the purses you can't tell look fake. I have some that are real and some that are fake and you can't tell the difference.

I'd rather carry a WALMART purse than a fake. Fakes support terrorism and I'm sure help to make the real ones more expensive:thumbdown

And yes, you CAN tell the difference. I can tell from just pics, so in person I would know within seconds. While that fake bag will look good at first, I will still be carrying my authentic bags 20 years from now while those fakes are in the garbage, they are very poor quality.

true that!! Best thing is if Coach starts coming apart for some odd reason they will fix them! I have sent off one of my bags for repair for free!!

along with supporting terrrorism buyers of knockoffs also support child labor

When they first started my mom had one, it was fun, but I wouldn't participate in any of them now that I'm more informed on why they are illegal and that fake purses support terrorism. I know $50 is a good price for a cute handbag, but if it's fake I don't see how it'd even be worth $5. JMO

Yep, I'm with you. I love purses but I have no problem carrying a non designer bag and would never, never, NEVER carry a fake. I like small and upcoming designers anyway so I don't see my purse on everyone else.

Wow, I didn't know all this about the purse parties. I just seen a cute one bought from one! LOL

I have 2 real coach's right now and 2 wristlets and 1 skinny mini. So i LOVE real coach.

This one I saw was just so cute, I had to ask!!! LOL
