Those would be awesome for a child's playhouse, but why would someone buy one of those? If someone loved their dog enough to buy one, wouldn't they just keep their dog inside the house with them?

Thats what I would say. I think that my two would rather be in our house, then out in something like that.

i know a lady who breeds great danes and she has something similar for her danes. danes have VERY large litters...usually averaging about 10-12 pups per litter. add the mom and dad to that and you could have 14 danes at a time in your house :eek: so she has chosen this method. it has heat and air and is REALLY nice!!!

i would never have one myself...but MANY people do have outside dogs (wether WE like it or not) and this is a great dog house compared to some of the others out there :) just gotta fork over the $$ :D

I guess it would make a very nice kennel :p Yes, I can't imagine having 14 great danes in my house at once..even the puppies are huge :eek: I would just be worried about someone breaking into it..especially with them knowing dogs were in there.

I do love the little bone shaped hot tubs LOL

yeah, and she has about 8 adults...and only 3 of those are males. and her females have 1 litter per year so she always has a full house. she does let the dogs inside her house a lot too. they aren't kennel dogs...they are her family. you would be amazed to see this woman. she is truly wonderful!!!

Security is def. a concern. in fact, my friend has had 2 of her ch. danes stolen...right off her property. it was crazy. the idiots dumped her dogs about 2 miles down the road...tied up. it was insane. she now has major security around where the dogs are. she has 10 acres so it is almost impossible to secure all of it...but she has really gone way out to make sure they are as safe as possible.

Very cute.

I think it'd be nice to have if you were OK with your dogs playing outside for a bit during the day (provided there was some type of run/enclosure).

Sorry, I didn't mean "kennel" in a bad way at all. Maybe I should have said "nursery" :) I'm glad she got her dogs back...people can be aweful.

oh gosh, no need to apologize :) I knew what you meant. I just wanted to clarify in case other people thought she caged her dogs or something :) i tend to not word things to well and I didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea :D

We live in our backyard in the summer with friends over all the time to swim and I would love to have one of these for Lucy to play in and go in and out of when there is no shade and it's hot (it gets very hot here). I would never leave her unattended but it would be fun to have a playhouse for her :) Last year I had to keep her inside a lot because of the heat...

Of course I would constantly be on her to "shut the door, you're letting all the AC out". :p
