Animal Spirits??? 4 Attachment(s) Okay.... this could be fun... ;) I don't know how many of you believe in "another plane" or "the spiritual afterlife" or things of that nature... I myself have had considerable experience with different areas of "spiritual phenomena" of sorts... (oh boy, those of you who already thought I was "losing it" will REALLY have something to talk about now!!!) :p <<gigglin'>> Anyway, As you well know, the passing of our sweet Natalie has been more than difficult for the entire family... and while I have tried to offer comfort with the tellings of Rainbow Bridge and talking of our memories of Nat to the children, they still seek out some source to be near her on a daily basis... (as do I, but in a different way)... So......... where am I going with this...... okay, well - if any of you know anything about "the paranormal", then you're well versed on the controversial subject of "spirit orbs".... some say they are "lens flares"... "light tricks"... "dust particles", "moisture", "dirt on the camera lens", etc.... and others, believe that these "orbs", which are quite commonly caught via both film and digital imagry throughout the world, are "energy sources" of spirit's passed. (or even spirit energy of those who never took on a "living" form to begin with... which is an entirely different topic...) Well........... my children, knowing of all sorts of these type of paranormal activity... (whether through our own experiences, the ever-popular "ghost hunt" television broadcasts, or through their own internet research) - believe that Natalie.... is near us.... Yeah, yeah.... I know..... but I let them believe.... I don't encourage it... but I do acknowledge their feelings and respect them.... it comforts them... and I don't see how it can do them any harm. Now..... let me show you WHY they feel this way..... they have been trying to convince me for days... and I've dismissed it... but, my son snapped this one photo very late last night... and I just have GOT to share what we've been "capturing" over the past couple of weeks... lol... if nothiing else, it's been fun thinking about... and has even brought a smile or two to my face when I think about (as silly as it may be) my girl still being around us.... Okay..... someone open the door and let the critics in!!! :p These are a few of the pictures where these "orbs" have shown up... now, note that I am a HABITUAL picture taker and am constantly snapping shots all around this house... and have never come up with things like this (at least in THIS house... I have, however, caught similar images over the years when intentionally putting myself in a place of "known activity"...again, another topic).... as well, we used two different digital cameras, some were taken with mine, and some with the kids' camera.... I did lighten some of the pictures and adjust the contrast in a couple so that you can see the "orbs" as they often show up very light.... Anyway..... have fun! Whatever they are, it's kind of neat! 1) Upper left hand corner... 2) I lightened this picture to better view the "orb" in the upper right hand corner... 3) Lightened this one as well.... mid to lower right hand side of frame... 4) This one's pretty evident.... 3 Attachment(s) More.... 1) You can clearly see... 2) THIS is the one that gave me a lil' chill...... it's a close up of the third picture... so it's not good quality as it was taken from the other room....Natalie used to stand on her hind legs on my desk.... put both her tiny lil' paws on my cheeks and kissssssss like she'd never stop!! The second I looked at this... I cried like a baby..... silly, I know.... but I did.... 3) This is the same shot.... but from a distance, as the picture was actually taken.... my son was sitting on the couch and just snapped.... Okay.... "bring it on"!!! ;) |
Wow, that's really interesting. I don't know what to say...but definitely interesting. The thought of ghosts and spirits scares me to death so I normally try not to think about it. |

First of all, I do believe in spirits because there is just too much that we can't explain. I would try to find out how to tell the difference between dust particles and actual orbs. I know that they are often confused but I have no idea how to tell the difference. Lastly, I just wanted to say that I think that what you are seeing in your pics really may be Natalie still hanging around. I've said it before but I don't think you have let go of her yet. You have to stop avoiding the pain of losing her and deal with your grief. She's not going to leave you until you've let go. Have your son take a few more pics of you, the results could be interesting. |
I'm no expert, that's for sure. And I do have an open mind. Most camera-caused flashes/orbs that I've seen usually are aperature-shaped, not circular. Regardless, you're in my thoughts............ |
Wow those are neat pics, I for one deff beleives in spirits:) there a big story as to why, but it would be a very long post, so i will just leave to the imagination;) |

Wow that is neat....I've never heard of spirit orbs. I'm going to look that up online. I do believe in spirits because I've had so many others tell me about experiences they've had. My own daughter who is only 9 just recently admitted to me that she sees shapes of what she believes are spirits. She has drawn me pictures and I have no reason not to believe her. She's not afraid thank God!!!!! She's never watched movies or shows that would encourage these visions so I know it's not make believe or in her head. This is an interesting thread. I hope others will feel comfortable enough to discuss these things. I think that's amazing that Natalie may have been kissing your cheek at the time of that photo. |
It looks to me like Natalie is still with you's. :) I don't know, I think I would be comforted by that, but I guess that's because I'm a believer in things like this. |
I don't quite know if I believe or not. I do find these things very interesting though... maybe Nat is just staying a while to let you know that she thanks you for all you did for her, and that she loves you. Would love to hear stories from others... Hugs Sheilagh |
We definitely believe in "spirits". Our story has to do with ladybugs, and there's no way I will ever think that the loves we have lost have totally left us. If they think we need them, they are here in some form or another. I believe those orbs are Natalie still watching over you.:) |
