So nice of my aunt!
 
My wonderful aunt went on vacation and was so generous to buy me a "coach" purse, she knew how much I loved them so she thought she would surprise me and get me a patch work coach purse!
When she gave it to me, I knew right away that it was a replica, but I did not have the heart to tell her it was fake. She was so thrilled to buy it for me! Am I doing the right thing buy not telling her it is a knock off? She thinks it's real. Regardless, I love the purse and I'm carrying it!

ya i'd just let it go :) use it around her... or all the time :p you don't want her to be embarassed and it is the thought that counts :) that was very sweet of her :)

I think it depends on where she bought it.

If she bought it from a place where it was supposed/guaranteed to be real, I would tell her.

If she bought it from say, a street vendor (or some place that obviously isn't going to be selling Coach), I wouldn't tell her.

awwww thats soooo cute!!!! I mean your aunt is so cute and kind to do that for you! Similar situation happened with me, my brother bought me one when he went to korea, thought it was real, he was soooo proud of getting me one. I did eventually tell him bc he kept telling everyone he bought me a coach and how cheap they are in korea, so to save him face I told him it was not a real one but I love it just the same! And I do (well until I got my real one recently! LOL) I love the thought he put into it and how proud he was! I made sure I told him in a nice way and made sure to let him know real or fake he had GREAT taste and I absolutely just love it! :)

How sweet of your Aunt! She must really love you. I wouldn't say anything to her about it not being authentic if it made her so happy to get it for you.

exactly what I was going to say!

If spend couple hundred on it and was told it was real then I would say something. A cheap thrill should cost less than 60

The tag said $89, so I don't think she paid big bucks for it.

She is such a sweety, her and I both are leaders for the same girl scout troop. When I decided to be a GS leader, I asked her to be one with me, I knew how much she loved kids. She only had a son and he is a grown up now, so it makes her happy to do this with me.

Awww, that was so sweet of her Missy :) I honestly wouldn't tell her if I were you...but that is just me. She might end up feeling really bad (AND embarrassed) if she found out that it weren't real :( Just don't want her to get her feelings hurt, after all - it's the thought that counts :)

What a wonderful aunt you have, God bless her heart, but it really make me upset that someone will sell a fake for a real one :(
