Lost a dear friend and I need a hug!
 
I just learned of the passing of a dear family friend. I have known this couple since I was a little child, they were like adoptive grandparents to me. He had a heart bigger than this planet. His wife is being so strong, she says she is at peace with it. She sounds like she is, which tears me up even more somehow. She has repeatedly told me how she didn't know what she would do if she lost him. She was so dependent upon him. She is 87, the poor dear! They were married for over 60 years. His health was failing the last few years and I had a hunch he would not live another year, but I did not think it would happen just yet. My heart is broken, more for her than for me. I'm just sitting here alone right now and need a hug big time. Please send your thoughts and prayers for my dear Lola, who just lost her best friend.

I am sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how alone she feels since she was with him for so many years. At least she has you and her family to take care of her. My prayers are going to you and Lola.

Big hugs to you and prayers for her. My Mom passed away last year at age 87 and we thought my Dad would never survive without her but with extra loving from family he is getting by. It is so hard for the one left behind when they have been together so long. We found with my Dad that he loves to look at photo albums of my Mom and loves to talk about her so maybe you could get a photo album together for her or a nice framed picture of them together. Hugs!!!!

I'm sorry for your loss! My parents were married 62 years when my Mom passed. Im sure she will be lost.:(

Thank you all so much. I don't know what I would do without you. I feel so guilty sitting here crying my eyes out when he was just a friend, but it was Lola who lost her dear husband and she is so at peace with hit. Life sucks sometimes.

So sorry to hear of your friends passing- and of the sorrow his wife will have without him! They had been together forever, she will be lost. But she will have many good memories of their life together!

I am sending hugs to you too! I just lost my grandma & she was 89...she so wanted to be with my grandpa who passed 3 1/2 years ago, that I am sure she is very happy now. They also were married over 66 years.

:( :( :( I'm so sorry and sending hugs....It seems since I lost my husband to terminal illness I get so sad reading posts like this ....I know how you feel and I hope each day gets a little easier for you...if you need to talk I'm here
