Birthday ideas
 

Okay, so LilyGrace and I have a birthday coming up...and we are going to do a "party" for both of us together. Our birthdays are next week and we are planning a party that weekend....maybe the 20th.

What are some ideas food wise, etc......
Any thoughts on some fun ideas/foods/etc.

Daughter is making invitations today (this is all her idea) w/ a picture of LilyGrace in her new birthday dress (I did NOT want my picture on anything!!! --bad enough I had to get a new drivers license picture yesterday):eek:

She was thinking of doing deli subs and chips, "picnic type food" but indoors as it is too cold to have a cookout or picnic outside. Or having everyone bring something sort of like a potluck..........as I told her I didn't care, so she isn't happy w/ my "lack of response and help" on this matter!:rolleyes:

I did tell my MIL that I wanted this Nails and she ordered it...and I told my daughter I would rather have dog related stuff....hinting for gift cards, etc because I REALLY want a good stroller for them!!!! So, we are thinking dog related gifts for LilyGrace and I to share!!:thumbup:

Okay....bring on all of your thoughts and ideas...my daughter will appreciate the help VERY VERY much!!!! :love-hug1

AND....for those wondering...LilyGrace will be 3 years old (first birthday in our home...as we got her in June/July) and I will be 22..................

If I know and trust the poeple well, then I LOVE potluck......

That's a great suggestion. That way, your daughter would only have to come up with a main dish or two (some type of chicken, sandwiches, etc.).

Jenn, I didn't know you and I are almost the same age!! :rolleyes: :p

She definitely wants to do the potluck..and it is just friends and family..something small....so potluck will be YUMMY!!!

It could be fun to do something with pictures from throughout the years of the both of you.

You could even just take frames from around the house and temporary replace them with pictures of either you or LilyGrace. Not sure if you will have tables for people to eat at but the pictures could be the center pieces.. just around 3-5 picture frames per table.

Pictures would give everyone something to do/talk about.

Well first you need to invite me and I'll bring the fun (since I, too, am only 22 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA).

What a fun party idea. You two should have mathcing birthday cakes or cupcakes. One for people and one for puppies :) I just got 2 new doggie treat cookbooks and one of them has a whole chapter on dog parties. You could make a theme and have little take-aways for guests.

That is soo funny Kim....because my daughter IS doing cupcakes and "pupcakes" too!!!! AND you are more than welcome to come down...BUT you must bring the monkies with you!!!
