Please Pray for my dad... He just got laid off at his job. They are closing down shop all of a sudden. His been working there as a mechanic for over 18 years and the business is just not doing well. We knew it would eventually happen, just not this soon. He's sad and crying and needs some prayers. His income was the main source for my family, as my mom doesn't make as much as my dad. They have been struggling emotionally (my ex brother in law ripped us all off), and financially for 4 years now, and need some peace. Please Pray for my dad Shavool, so he gets the strength to think positive and find something better. |
I'm so sorry... I hope his luck turns around for the better soon.. they always say it always gets worse before it gets better... just remember ," what doesnt break us only makes us stronger" hugs! |
Many thoughts and prayers coming your way. |
I am so very sorry to hear about your dad . . . I think finding a job wouldn't be so hard . . .Good mechanics are always in demand. Sending you both well wishes and prayers. |
I'm so sorry for your dad. And I know it has to be hard on you to see him going thru this. I know how proud men are about their jobs and supporting their family and regardless of who you are, being without an income for any amount of time is SCARY! I pray that he finds the strength inside him to get things turned around to a happier place. Hopefully he's in an area where he has a good following and can find another place to work and let his people know where he is now. I know that mechanics really are needed and it's really hard for men (I KNOW, b/c my dh is this way:( ) to go out searching for a job after they've been at one place for so long; they feel insecure, but I'm sure he's got a LOT of great experience that a lot of younger guys don't have. I know my dh says nobody wants men his age when they can get the younger, less experienced guys for less (and I'm sure your dad will say the same thing) but I don't believe it. The younger guys want to be paid for doing nothing; the older guys who have been working for a long time know what responsibility and integrity are! So my prayers are with your dad; tell him to hang in there; when one door closes, another one opens! |
I"m So Sorry ,sending Prayers For Your Dad And Family ,hoping He Will Find A Job Soon. |
So sorry to hear of your family's misfortune..I pray something will come along soon for your Dad..He'll probably find a job that he likes even better the last!! :big_hug: |
I'm so sorry for your dad. He will find something else...he sounds like he is very conscientious and caring. There will be other employers that would be happy to have someone like him. Sending a prayer and a hug. |
Sending prayers up. I think he will find a job pretty soon if he had that many years in one place...you just don't find dedication like that anymore. Angie |
Sending prayers for your dad and family that something will come along soon. I'm so sorry this has happened. |
Prayers for your Dad, I know how hard it is to see our parents struggling. Hope things turn around for him very soon. |
Your father and your family will be in our prayers. |
I feel so bad for your father and the rest of the family as well....Financial problems can devastate and put a tremendous strain on a family.... I hope this is one of those situations where, " one door closes and another will open" for him...mechanics are hard to come by these days, prayers for him that good news is coming his way..... |
I am s sorry for your Dad, I am sending my prayers for him! |
I am so sorry to hear this. It is very difficult when older men lose a job they have had for a long time. This happened to my father-in-law and he couldn't find another job in his area. He ended up driving a school bus and cooking in a day care center. He loved kids and he loved to cook and even though it didn't pay much, he was happy. Of course, he'd have been happier if he didn't lose his old job, but still, sometimes things just have a way of working out. My husband became suddenly and unexpectedly unemployed, but it was due to his health. He woke up one morning in heart failure, unable to hardly get from the bed to the chair. It was a huge shock for us, but we got through it somehow. He is medically retired now, but we were unexpectedly without his income for almost a year before his retirement went through. It is tough, but they can get through it. I feel so sorry for older people (men and women) when they lose a long term job - it is not easy to job hunt or try to do something different. I bet your dad can get another job in his area - it won't be easy - but I wish him all the luck in the world! |
