My Cooking Adventure... ... Is about to begin, LOL! I'm making a new recipe from my vegan cookbook -- Vegan Penne Vodka It uses almonds to give the creaminess to traditional Vodka Penne. Then I'm tackling Vegan Banana Split cupcakes. I bought a pretty pink spoon and a new stainless bowl, and when i was at Target the other day I picked up TONS of cupcake kitchen stuff. If anyone hasn't been to target lately (btw) and loves Cupcakes, they have so many cute bowls, placemats, dish towels! It's amazing! I got a cupcake cookie jar for 14.99 for doggie treats. Sorry, had to throw that in here, I'm cupcake obsessed! LOL I'm going to take pictures and post here when everything is done, wish me so much luck! :p |

You did a great job! Everything looks amazing! Sooooo how did it taste? Did you like it? Did your DH like it? The cupcakes look great! I wish mine came out looking so pretty. I suck at baking - lol! :p |

At first I thought he was just being sarcastic or overly nice since it took me so dang long, but he ate a ton of it and was raving about the cookbook and how vegan food isn't so bad :eek: The cupcakes were a work in progess... lol I tried to pipe the frosting on just using a regular plastic bag and that definitely did not work so they ended up getting a scoop of frosting slathered on, :p I think start to finish the entire thing, dessert included took me 4 hours or so. Not something I'll probably do during the week, but I was happy I didn't burn the house down! There was a 'sauce' explosion that happened and I was starting to worry I might really burn the house down then. :) |

It looks so good----all of it! Big KUDOS! If I had seen this earlier I would've jumped in the car and started heading upstate. :p I did notice one thing though----- There were 12 CCs and then in the finished pics--only 8. :eek: Did you send them to me?:D I am glad to see that I am not the only one who takes pics of their cooking----you should see my library of food pics, finished, in process etc....:rolleyes: |
